January Dramas to Start Off the New Year
Happy New Year drama watchers. January is the season of new beginnings. If completing new dramas happens to be on your resolution list, The Kraze is here to help. Here are a few K-Dramas that are starting this month that can get you on the road to reaching your goal of most dramas watched.
Ghost Doctor
Arrogant thoracic surgeon Cha Youngmin (Rain) is one of the best doctors at his hospital. You would think this makes him very personable, but he has no bedside manner. The only things he cares about are his career and himself. Resident surgeon Go Seungtak (Kim Bum) is the complete opposite of Youngmin. He's personable but not a great surgeon. The only reason why Seungtak has made it as far as he has is because his grandfather was the founder of a top hospital.
Youngmin's spirit gets trapped in Seungtak's body through a strange accident. Seungtak is now a top surgeon, and almost everyone praises his work. The only exception is intern Oh Soojung (Son Naeun). She believes in the supernatural and knows that Seungtak isn't acting normal, so she decides it's up to her to figure out what's going on before things become permanent.
Ghost Doctor is available on Viki to watch.
Tracer
Tracer was supposed to begin airing last month, but you can't rush perfection. The cast has all been on the K-Drama scene for a while. Im Siwan plays Hwang Dongjoo in this drama and was part of the K-Pop group ZE:A. So Hyunjoo may look familiar to watchers because he played Park Seojoon's father in the popular show Itaewon Class.
Through The Darkness
Through the Darkness is a gritty, dark drama about a serial killer in the 1990s. The head of the Criminal Behavior Analysis Team Gook Youngsoo (Jin Seonkyu), turns to criminal profiler Song Hayoung (Kim Namgil) to help put together ideas on stopping this murderer. The murders take place during a time when DNA analysis and other methods police use to catch criminals were unheard of. Will the profile be enough to identify the murderer, or will the killings continue?
This crime drama starts in mid-January and will be available on Viki.
Internal Medicine Doctor Park
Adapted from a webtoon, Internal Medicine Doctor Park is a comedy about Dr. Park Wonjang (Lee Seojin). He wants to make money and become a famous doctor, so he opens his own clinic, thinking he would have patients lining up at his door. Unfortunately, that is not what happens. Now Dr. Park is struggling to keep his clinic open. The stress is so great that his hair falls out, and his wife decides to listen to a doctor on TV rather than her own husband. Dr. Park will have to develop something fast to keep his life from spiraling out of control. The drama isn't on any streaming sites yet, but check out the hilarious trailer below.
Color Rush 2
Choi Yeonwoo (Yoo Jun) is a high school student whose soulmate, Yoohan, disappears under mysterious circumstances. Yeonwoo decides to find out what happened to his lover. Sehyun (VIXX’s Hyuk) is a classmate of Yeonwoo’s and decides to help him on his quest. As they work together, the pair grows closer, but, unfortunately, Sehyun has a secret that Yeonwoo is close to finding out, destroying the friendship forever
This prequel of Color Rush will be available on Viki.
All Of Us Are Dead
Zombie lovers will be happy to know about this new drama. High school students' lives are thrown into chaos when a zombie virus begins to spread rapidly throughout their school and neighborhood. The students are soon trapped inside the building and have to figure out a way to save themselves.

Shooting Star
Have you ever thought about what it would be like to work behind the scenes in the entertainment industry? That's precisely what Shooting Star is about. Oh Hanbyul (Lee Seungkyung) is head of a top PR company. She and her company manage top star Gong Taesung (Kim Youngdae). While he appears flawless on screen and in the news, Hanbyul considers him a hot mess and her enemy. They spend their time arguing with each other, but the more time they spend together, the more their feelings change into something more. CNBLUE’s Lee Jongshin will also star in this romantic comedy.
Flying Butterflies
Flying Butterflies follows the workers' lives inside a popular hair salon of the same name. Michelle (Oh Yoonah) is the salon director and works closely with her leading hair stylist Gwangsoo (Choi Daniel). The salon has become so popular that they hire three interns. Gibum (Kim Hyanggi), Mooyeol (Park Jungwoo), Teacher Woo (Moon Taeyu), and Soori (Kim Gahee) learn how to work together to keep up with the fast-paced job.
