JAMIE Delivers Perfect Girls’-Night-Out Anthems with Newest EP
Returning with a full EP four years after the release of jiminxjamie in 2018, JAMIE shows her mature cool girl image with a five track mini-album titled One Bad Night. Featuring the lead single “3D Woman” that came out on October 5, the genre-diverse body of work and gorgeous music video visuals for “3D Woman” certainly made the long wait worth it!

With over 10 years of experience in the industry, soloist JAMIE has certainly made her mark as an ultra-talented vocalist after becoming the first winner of competition television show K-Pop Star. She then released a handful of ballads and R&B tracks under JYP Entertainment—the company she ultimately chose to sign under after winning the show. Following her decision to leave the agency in 2019, she experimented with new sounds and cultivated a new image of a grown, confident woman under her new label Warner Music Korea. JAMIE gave us a taste of what was to come with her bold image when she released the unapologetically sassy single “Pity Party” at the beginning of 2022. The recent EP release is a continuation in her artistic journey that proves JAMIE’s ability to grow beautifully into her new badass image.
One Bad Night starts off strong with the bass-heavy trap song “GIRLS.” With lyrics about having a good time with your closest girl friends, this song is perfect for any getting-ready playlists before a big night out. The following tracks are lead single “3D Woman” and “In My Bag”—another two bangers with rhythmic beats that give off club-like feels. Through these songs, JAMIE expresses that she’s a confident woman and she knows it, and she will own that fact whether you like it or not! The music video for “3D Woman” shows JAMIE arriving and partying it up at a warehouse-turned-club with her girlfriends for an unforgettable night. From the strobe lights to the psychedelic glitch effects, the video is reminiscent of a house party from Euphoria—the kind where you either make the best memories or can’t remember anything the day after. For the last two tracks, JAMIE slowed it down with a sensual R&B song featuring GEMINI called “Bedtime Story” and a vulnerable closing track “Honesty (0822).” The duet with GEMINI was a personal standout thanks to JAMIE’s breathtaking vocals and the satisfying harmonizations between the two. Ending with a soft piano track, JAMIE reminisces about the night before and the regrets she has.
One Bad Night is a body of work about the chronological happenings of a night out including all the excitement, fun, highs, and regrets, and JAMIE was able to tell this story through her top-notch vocals and a strong sense of self-identity. She excelled in her previous girl-next-door image and she is certainly thriving in her new era of being a girlboss.
