Your Black Friday K-Pop Shopping List
Last year in Fan Advice, we featured a small list of gift ideas for K-Pop stans. We’re making a new list this year! If you’re stumped on what to get your K-Pop friends for the holiday season, here are some ideas.
Photocards/Photocard Holders
This is probably the best option, especially for those who actively collect certain idol cards. Photocards can be found in a lot of places: eBay, Instagram, Twitter, Mercari, and more. Many cards are cheaper too, so it can be easy to get more than one without breaking the bank! There’s also the option of holders for the cards. The best place to find card holders would likely be on Etsy. Many Etsy sellers make fun designs for holders that can make displaying and carrying cards look super cute! Card holders are also easy on the wallet, so there’s no stress to spend too much.
Photocard Binders
If the person you know is an avid photocard collector, then they will definitely need a place to put them all. Many photocard collectors have binders for certain members or groups they collect, so sometimes more than one binder makes a great gift! Binders can be relatively easy to find, and these can be on the cheaper side as well.
Season’s Greetings
If you’re familiar with the end of the year in K-Pop, then you are probably aware of the announcements for Season's Greetings sets! Season’s Greetings are boxed sets groups release that act as a gift to fans. These packages usually contain calendars for the new year, stationary, limited edition photocards, and more. They usually pick a theme for these as well—no year is the same! These sets can be on the pricier side once you factor in the shipping, but are still manageable on your bank account.
Custom Merchandise
If you happen to be scouring Etsy while looking for photocard holders, it’s also a great idea to look at some fan-made merchandise! Some shops come up with and create some really nice items, ranging from clothing to keychains to jewelry. There are so many possibilities when it comes to what is created on Etsy, it just takes a little searching around. Many fans are very creative and design some pretty great things!
