Beomgyu Instagram When?

Yeonjun might be THE fashionista of TXT (Tomorrow x Together), but Beomgyu definitely deserves a double-take as well, being a trendsetter in his own way. As a gift for MOA for his birthday this past weekend, Beomgyu shared a cover of ADOY’s 2018 song “Wonder,” looking casually amazing in the trendy 9:16 clips wandering around the night streets of Seoul in a white turtleneck peeking out under his black jacket. So this week, we are celebrating by having a quick chat about his style.

When it comes to his streetwear, Beomgyu tends to stay casual, comfortable, and clean, but with a cool guy vibe. He usually doesn’t choose anything too over-the-top or experimental, but rather sticks to classic and sleek menswear with a nice sense of style. His minimalist color palette and monochrome outfits with simple lines and prints always show attention to detail. This shows up in his use of layering, different kinds of tucking, unconventional stitching, and contrasting fits that highlight his silhouette along with mostly pairing slim-cut jeans with oversized tops.

Whether he’s wearing a random simple shirt, a colorful Gucci piece on a Teen Vogue cover, or a Saint Laurent silky blouse for a Vogue Korea pictorial, he just slays. He looks good in everything and can make anything work—and one of the biggest pieces of proof for that is episode 29 of TO DO X TXT. In this episode, the members had to style a random item, but just in case you haven’t watched the episode yet, we won’t be spoiling the twists and fun, just head on over to YouTube.

One of the most recent pictorials of TXT was published in the Korean issue of ELLE MAN, celebrating the group's third anniversary. In this issue, Beomgyu wore a pair of very flashy H&M snake-patterned pants paired with an Adidas shirt and a plaid coat which could seem like a very random combination, but it works on Beomgyu as a fashion editorial look. Now his other outfit, no one can question. The stylist paired a light blue knit top and studded pants from Bottega Veneta for Beomgyu, and it simply left us wanting more luxury fashion moments for him.

Moving on from clothing, Beomgyu was undeniably one of the biggest trendsetters in 2021 when it came to haircuts. A very specific and initially probably somewhat controversial style—the wolf cut—first received weird looks before the whole world went crazy for it on TikTok, with people trying to recreate it themselves (with more or less success, needless to say). The chop he debuted for the group’s The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE era is definitely edgy and looks effortlessly cool, but of course it actually is a lot of effort and greatly depends on the right layering. The trend was not necessarily an unexpected one following the fact that people started to open up to mullets again in the past few seasons. I guess we all get brave in quarantine seasons when it comes to both haircuts and colors.

Long story short, we are looking forward to more airport fashion, editorials, and endorsement opportunities for Beomgyu. And, of course, for that personal Instagram account—which if he doesn’t use it for fashion OOTDs, we would be more than happy to just see those beautiful scenery photos he mentioned in his Vogue Korea interview at the end of last year while talking about his interest in photography.
