Counting our Stars

For this week’s Throwback Thursday, we will be taking a look up at the night sky. These starry songs are a perfect way to unwind and bring you a piece of happiness while listening to these various K-Pop idols. 

“Starry night” - MAMAMOO

Compared to the typical powerful vocals we expect from MAMAMOO, we get a more subdued yet lovely track with “Starry night.” The guitar instrumentation during the hook is quite catchy and shows us a more serious side of the members while painting us a dreamy atmosphere. Beautiful scenery from New Zealand is featured in the music video as well as the members in flowy boho-styled looks. 

“Star” - LOONA

“Star” is the English version of LOONA’s song, “Voice.” It is a synth styled song with a retro influence that was created to connect the members to their international fans. It is a sweet and upbeat song that brings a touch of delicateness which appears throughout the song. The music video features a range of aesthetics, from glamorous to dreamy, as the primary focus is on the eye-catching choreography from the members. 

“Counting Stars” - BE’O Feat. Beenzino

BE’O’s melting voice is stunning on the R&B track, “Counting Stars.” Although the song is quite chill, the lyrics are very emotional and vulnerable, adding to the power of this song. With the beautiful lighting and dreamy animations, the music video brings a sense of peace and serenity to the song. 

“Starry Night” - BoA Feat. Crush

This warm song from BoA gives us a relaxing sound that can bring you comfort with each listen. BoA’s gorgeous vocals are entrancing as always, and Crush’s style intertwines perfectly with her voice. The music video shows us daily struggles from people while giving us a reminder that everything will turn out okay in life.
