YOUNITE is Ready To Take Off in “AVIATOR”
BRAND NEW Music’s rookie boy group YOUNITE returns with their first comeback. The group released their second mini-album, YOUNI-Q, featuring the title track “AVIATOR.” With an energetic new music video, YOUNITE is ready to soar to new heights. Let’s take a look at what they have to offer.
Released just three months after their debut, YOUNI-Q aims to show the group’s unique style and sound and encourages its listeners to find that special something that makes them unique. The album is led by the powerful hip-hop influenced title track “AVIATOR.” On the track, the members boastfully talk about soaring higher than ever before. The lyrics and their delivery have a sense of confidence. Produced by BOOMBASTIC, Kyler Niko, and Ronnie Icon with lyrics co-written by member DEY, the new song matches the energy of their debut tracks “1 of 9” and “Everybody” but has a more grown up vibe.
YOUNI-Q has four B-side tracks, with member DEY receiving co-writing credits on all of them. Opening with “TRAVELER,” the album kicks off with a chanting anthem as YOUNITE declares they are ready to take on the world. BRAND NEW MUSIC’s in-house producer OUOW worked with the group on “SWISH,” a swaggy hip-hop track. “COME AROUND” is a funky introductory song for the group as they introduce themselves and ask for a chance to show who they are. The album’s closer “널 좋아해 (I LIKE YOU)” is another standout entry. The song is an R&B pop song about a cute love confession. The R&B sound really suits the members' voices and showcases a new side of the group.
YOUNITE definitely has a bright future, and their sound is very distinctive among the new generation of boy groups.
