K-Pop concerts usually start off with grand entrances, and P1Harmony’s was no different. The lights dimmed after the pre-concert setlist ended, and an eerie VCR displayed words like, "need," "breathe," and energy before the six boys got into formation in bedazzled leather jackets. The screams of the fans were deafening as you heard the guitar instrumental of the iconic song “Look At Me Now," and Theo screamed out, “You guys ready?” Their wonderful stage presence was undeniable, and it was proved with the relaxed choreography and vocals while still looking fresh and cool.
To the audience's surprise, a familiar tune started playing but with a different sound. Something that sounded edgy – a rock version of their most recent release “Back Down.” The group's chemistry on stage allowed fans to not only enjoy the music but feel connected to the boys as they continued to perform songs they'd been waiting to hear live. Hearing a different side of P1Harmony took fans by surprise, but the rock sound didn't end after “Back Down." Right before the group took a moment to introduce themselves to P1eces, they performed their famous title track “Scared (Rock Version).”
During their first short break, the boys seemed to look at the audience in awe. A packed general admission pit with crazed screams coming from their fans as they introduced themselves, “Plus Everything. Hello, we are P1Harmony." The six boys took turns thanking fans for showing up and hoped they all enjoyed the show. Keeho made sure fans knew that safety was the top priority and took time to say, “I also want to say since a lot of it is GA, please don't push too much. It's okay to have fun, but being safe is also just as important, so please be safe.” The boys continued the concert with “Me Too,” a single release that was written and composed by the group last August. After the slow tempo, the vibes were quickly brought back up with “Doom Du Doom,” “End It,” and “Black Hole," which were all songs P1eces were anticipating to hear live.
Soon after, each member performed songs of their choice. Whether solo or in a unit, they were eager to showcase on tour. Theo was the first member to showcase his silky and beautiful vocals with DEAN's 2016 release “21." As he stood in the middle of the stage with nothing but a mic stand and spotlight shining on him, his charismatic presence and vocals swooned the audience. The energy changed as Intak and Jongseob perform a rap stage, and as soon as they walked out with mics in hand and fur coats on their backs, the cheers from the audience erupted. They showcased their rapping skills and undeniable swag, and even ended up rapping to each other in the middle of the stage. Next up was the introverted but insanely skilled Soul with his solo rendition of Jung Joonil’s release “Hug Me.” Sitting on a stool on the right corner of the stage, the audience stared in awe of Soul's vocals. The short-lived performance was followed by a unit stage with members Keeho, Jiung, and Soul with Michael Jackson’s famous release “Love Never Felt So Good.” Jiung brought out his inner MJ with his solo dance moment, moonwalking and dancing across the stage before the three members joined each other to sing and dance to the audience.
Soon after, all six members were back on stage in green street-style outfits and were ready to perform even more popular tracks. “Follow Me” was a crowd favorite; the ears of everyone in the pit were ringing as the seven boys asked the audience to get down and jump when directed. “For the next song, we want you guys to dance with us, okay? Are you ready?” Keeho shouted. A colorful background visual was displayed as the seven boys stood in the middle of the stage and the familiar tune of “Gotta Get Back” started playing. While singing, dancing, and engaging with P1eces, the members had smiles on their faces and continued to have the best time with their BFFs until the end of the show. After the next three songs, a VCR of their popular song “If You Call Me” started playing, and the audience went wild in anticipation for the boys to come out. P1eces in the crowd gathered and sang at the top of their lungs.
While being the first stop of the tour, LA set the bar for how loud the crowd coulf be while the boys performed their last five songs. P1eces heard the beginning notes of the love-filled tune “BFF (Best Friends Forever)” and were ready to scream the heartfelt lyrics to their own BFFs, P1Harmony. “Put up your hands if you’re my BFF,” rang loud through the Hollywood Palladium and there was undeniable love felt that night. The concert continued and soon ended after the boys thanked everyone for attending their first stop on tour.
The encore came soon after, and the boys were noticeably filled with happiness as they danced on stage receiving love and gifts from fans. The last song of the night, “AYAYA” brought laughter, dancing, excitement, and pure joy to the crowd and the group. It was a great way to end the night. “We were P1Harmony! Thank you everyone, get home safe,” Keeho ended the night with a heartfelt message and the lights turn back on.
The boys continue their U.S. tour with stops in Chicago, Atlanta, Reading, New York, Nashville, Austin, and Dallas.
