VIXX Welcomes 2023 with “Gonna Be Alright”

It’s been a long four years since VIXX released their last single “PARALLEL,” and to many STARLIGHTs, it seemed like the group may never release another track together. Between military enlistments, solo projects, and Hongbin’s departure from the group, another VIXX release seemed like a fever dream. That’s what made 12 A.M. KST on December 28, 2022 so exciting – the announcement of a new VIXX digital single, featuring the voices of Leo, Ken, and Hyuk. “Gonna Be Alright” was announced in the midst of promotions for the trio’s fan concert, ING: As Always, which will take place on January 6 and 7, 2023.

“Gonna Be Alright” is an upbeat track with lyrics centered around looking back at memories and knowing that, no matter what the memory entails, VIXX and listeners are, well, “Gonna Be Alright.” The official visualizer for the track focuses on an animated woman running day and night through cities, parks, and underground tunnels before emerging into a night sky filled with fireworks. The last bit of the visualizer shows the woman flying up into the fireworks as day turns to night, as if fully embracing the freedom of knowing that things are going to be okay.

Leo, Ken, and Hyuk also released a special clip for “Gonna Be Alright” on 1theK’s YouTube channel. The three VIXX members are dressed in their softest sweaters, the embodiment of the soft hug and comfort that “Gonna Be Alright” evokes when you listen to it.
