Throwback Thursday: December Debuts Edition

We are now in a new month—the month of December! Every month, we love to take it back and talk about the debuts of our favorite groups. It’s always a joy to go back and take a look at the progression and the start of our faves. So, let's do that and talk about the debuts of December.

TVXQ - “Hug”

On December 26, 2003, SM Entertainment’s boy group TVXQ released their debut track “Hug.” This song is so catchy and a cute love song. Between the trending hairstyles, the upbeat pop backtrack, and the color scheme, the video is the definition of the early 2000s. SM Entertainment is known for their phenomenal vocalists, and in this track that is shown on full display. It’s great to see the beginning of TVXQ and see how they blossomed into the artists they are today.

The Boyz - “Boy”

Watching this made me and many others smile when it dropped. The Boyz, an IST Entertainment boy group, released their hit dance debut track “Boy” on December 6, 2017. The Boyz is known for hard-hitting, impactful tracks, but “Boy” is a little different. “Boy” is cheerful, bright, and cute. Everything about this song will make a smile form on your face. The Boyz have been on a roll since their debut, and it’s amazing to see all the things they have accomplished since then.

IVE - “ELEVEN”

Now, I know many of us were learning that beginning part of the song. The hand choreography in this song is just so much fun to do. On December 1, 2021, Starship Entertainment’s girl group IVE dropped their iconic debut “ELEVEN.” We are all obsessed with this track. On this day, we got to learn so much about IVE. The way they sing, dance, and how their videos look. Their videos are always extravagant and beautiful and that’s exactly what “ELEVEN” is. They ate with their debut and just from it alone we knew these girls were destined for greatness.
