It’s A Ballad

We all know of a ballad that is near and dear to our hearts. A ballad is a story. A song about  love or heartbreak that tugs at your soul. It is a song that makes you want to sing along and cry simultaneously. In this list are ballads that many of us know, and that many of us have definitely sung along to. 

NCT Dream - “Be There For You” 

I’m not crying you are. I love this song so much, and every time it comes on, I am going to scream the lyrics. “Be There For You” is featured on NCT Dream’s first album, Hot Sauce. This jam-packed album features all types of songs, and “Be There For You” is a ballad you will never forget. NCT is known for their fantastic vocals, and they came through and ate! It’s definitely one of my favorite ballads from them and makes me cry every time. 

NCT 127 - “Back 2 U (AM 01:27) 

I had never felt true heartbreak until I heard this song. This type of ballad is where you grab your chest, crawl into a ball, and scream the lyrics. This song makes me feel like I am going through my tenth breakup. “Back 2 U (AM 01:27)” is featured on NCT 127’s album, NCT #127 LIMITLESS - The 2nd Mini Album - EP, and this album is amazing. If I could listen to this track forever, I would. The vocalists did not come to play in this song. The harmonization, the belts, and the raps make you want to levitate. It’s an iconic track that will forever be on everyone’s mind. 

SEVENTEEN - “Don’t listen in secret” 

Just like I said, ballads are a story, and “Don’t listen in secret” is a story. In 2016 SEVENTEEN released their album, Going Seventeen, and on that album was “Don’t listen in secret.” I love this song. SEVENTEEN is another group that is known for their vocals, and they did not come to play. This is another song that I could play forever. The song makes you want to hold your knees and cry. It’s a beautiful song that will always remain in my heart and many CARATs as well.
