LIMELIGHT Confesses Their Love in “Honestly” Debut

LIMELIGHT have made their debut! The girl group released their debut EP, LOVE & HAPPINESS, on February 17, 2023, with the title track “Honestly.”

LIMELIGHT is currently a three-member group with the potential concept of having unlimited members under 143 Entertainment—the first girl group under this company. Members MiU, Suhye, and Gaeun were introduced in August 2022. MiU was previously a contestant on Girls Planet 999 as a part of the J-group, and Suhye was previously a contestant on My Teenage Girl. That same month, they announced their reality show Lululala which captured their journey to debut. The group would go on to release a self-titled pre-debut EP in September with the title track “Starlight.”

“Honestly” is the title track for the girls’ debut EP and is a song about confessing your love. The track is lighthearted and an easygoing listen. The instrumentation features the occasional techno-style percussion with a beat drop after the chorus. The girls also sing in a comfortable vocal range that fits the concept well. The title track is supported by two B-sides, “Blanc Noir” and “Crystal,” as well as instrumental and acapella versions of all three songs.

The music video for “Honestly” has a cute aesthetic of fun, bright colors—especially pinks and pastels—with the girls posing as school students. The video also features Jinhwan from iKON as a primary interest for the girls, which resulted in many fans of iKON watching the video and receiving the video well. The choreography also gives each member a chance to shine as the center.

We’re super excited to see where LIMELIGHT goes with their career! Watch the video for “Honestly” here!
