ODD EYE CIRCLE Turns the Volume Up as they Kick Off Their Europe Tour in London!
ODD EYE CIRCLE met their London fans in the city's O2 Forum Kentish Town on August 5, where even a rainy sky couldn't dampen Orbits (LOONA's fandom name) moods! The sub-unit of LOONA consisting of Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry made their first full appearance together in London since 2018, as they kicked off their Volume Up tour.
The screams erupted once the lights went down and the gold crown of the group's lightstick was shaking readily in the air. That excitement only erupted further once the beginning of "Eclipse" began playing, Kim Lip's 2017 solo track. Kim Lip's initial nervousness seemed to fade away as she saw the crowd singing along as she continued performing.
JinSoul then took to the stage with her addictive solo track "Singing in the Rain." The choreo featuring metal poles made way for a bigger performance, and Orbits were singing along to the chorus with so much enthusiasm.
To close the solo track stages, youngest member Choerry greeted the crowd with "Love Cherry Motion.'' Her song choice was enough to interact with the crowd, and the excitement between both artist and crowd bounced off of each other.
Before meeting the crowd as a trio, the members of ODD EYE CIRCLE prepared duo stages with Kim Lip and JinSoul performing JinSoul's "Love Letter" before JinSoul and Choerry performed Choerry's solo "Puzzle."
The trio took to the stage together for the first time of the night with their 2017 release "Uncover." The fan's anticipation was now settled as the night went on with the group's song "Chaotic." ODD EYE CIRCLE also prepared a special cover of Doja Cat's "Say So" in between the setlist, with the member's expressing how they wanted to prepare a range of performances, emphasizing the time they spent rehearsing, with Choerry even repeating her rap lines of the track!
The night went on with notable fan favorites being "Je Ne Sais Quoi," "Starlight," "LOONATIC," and "Air Force One." I was definitely a fan of "Sweet Crazy Love" and could tell fans in the crowd had the same sentiment, dancing along to that track. In between the set, the members had VCRs for fans, from the trio playing charades to showing them practicing for the tour.
You couldn't even hear the members when they wanted to begin their final ment after the clapping and cheering ovation they received for performing "Girl Front"! There was a joint feeling of love and admiration from both the artists and the crowd as they prepared their final words.
The girls expressed their love and enjoyment of being able to play in London and all the activities they wanted to get up to while in the city. The setlist consisted of 18 tracks, featuring songs from the group's 2017 and 2023 catalogs. ODD EYE CIRCLE ended the night with LOONA's debut track "Hi High," marking a new beginning for them as a trio. It was almost as if they were restarting the show all over again.
Volume Up in London was enough to leave a lasting impression on not just Orbits, but on Kim Lip, JinSoul and Choerry too. Thank you to MyMusicTaste and MODHAUS for inviting us to the tour!
