Throwback Thursday: Well-Known Raps Edition

When I say well-known raps, which one comes to mind? Personally, it’s NCT’s Mark’s rap in “The 7th Sense.” It’s so good and iconic. Whichever rap comes to mind for you will most likely be on this list. I looked through many songs and created a great list that I think we all will love. So let’s take it back, and sing along to these well-known rap verses.

“Jopping” - SuperM (Mark’s Second Verse)

Come on, I know you guys know this one! MARK put his whole chest into this verse just like every other verse he does. I personally haven’t been the same since this verse dropped. MARK is a member of NCT and SuperM and has been dropping some of the hardest verses since 2016. This part of the song is so addictive. The moment you hear the “Oh, you think ya big, boy throwin’ three stacks? (Bet)” you can’t help but continue the rap with him, and I’m pretty sure you just finished rapping as well.

“#Twenty” - ITZY (Yuna’s Verse)

Now, Miss Yuna put her all in this verse. This song is so much fun, and you can’t help but dance along. Yuna is a part of the JYP Entertainment hit girl group ITZY, and is so talented. Her verse in “#Twenty” showcases her amazing rapping abilities. The rap is super fast and flows with a fast beat. It’s such a hype verse that we have heard and loved.

“대취타 (Daechwita) - Agust D (Second Verse)

Everyone together, “대취타, 대취타 (Daechwita, Daechwita).”  Agust D, also known as SUGA, is from the well-known BigHit Entertainment/HYBE boy group BTS. Agust D has been releasing music for a while and it’s always banger after banger.“대취타 (Daechwita)” was released on May 22, 2020, and many of us have been playing it ever since. His second verse has to be one of the most iconic parts of the song. The way that he rides the beat with this rap is *chef kiss* and his voice is so calming. I couldn’t help it—I had to constantly rewind it to hear it over and over again. It’s another great track from him that left us all grasping for more.

“WONDERLAND” - ATEEZ (Hongjoong’s Intro Verse)

As an ATINY, it was so hard to pick just one rap from them. All of ATEEZ’s raps are iconic and well-known, but I’m pretty sure once I say this first line many of you will sing along. “All eyes on me now,”and of course you know the next line. This verse is rapped by the leader Hongjoong from the hit KQ Entertainment boy group ATEEZ. “WONDERLAND” was released on October 8, 2019, and many of us have been obsessed with this song ever since. The fact that this is the intro of the song grasps listeners from the jump. Hongjoong is already known for being a lyrical genius and he wowed us once again with this amazing verse.

“BOCA” Dreamcatcher - (Dami’s First Verse)

“Hold up, yeah, I’m a geek, the big paradox” Any Insomnia out there? I am and picking just one verse put me through a rollercoaster of emotions. Member Dami is the rapper behind this well-known rap. Dami is a member of the iconic girl group Dreamcatcher. The song  “BOCA” was released on August 17, 2020. Dreamcatcher is known for their hard-hitting music and Dami's verse is both powerful and forceful. It’s a hype song that makes anyone want to sing along.
