TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) Stuns at Lollapalooza This Past Weekend
TXT (TOMORROW X TOGETHER) were dressed to impress as they took on their second appearance at Lollapalooza, this time as headliners!
The five-member group were announced as headliners for the Lollapalooza U.S. stage following their iconic 34-minute set last year at the festival. The group joins Stray Kids as one of the first K-Pop boy groups to headline the festival, as their U.S. performance over the weekend followed up from Stray Kids’ headline of Lollapalooza Paris on July 21.
Lollapalooza Outfits
Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai began the first 15 minutes of their set decked in Dior from head to toe. Yeonjun, Soobin, and Taehyun were styled in the brand’s 2023 pre-fall long half-kilts in gray, black, and beige—topped with sleeveless tops from the brand’s summer 2024 show. Beomgyu and Huening Kai were dressed in the brand’s FW23 skirt and jacket co-ords in dark brown and gray shades to match!
Dior’s menswear collection has been under the creative direction of Kim Jones, whose SS24 collection has been described as being highly wearable, yet eccentric—which showed in the runway show. The five members performed on stage effortlessly and brought further excitement when they changed into their second outfits for the later part of their show.
A sense of familiarity waved across MOAs as the members returned to the stage in their darker denim rock-influenced outfits! Last year when the group took on their first Lollapalooza stage, their styling for their then title track “LO$ER=LO♡ER” was the main inspiration, from the faux ripped shirts to the ripped skinny jeans. This year, the group has matured this look with them.
From the mix of patchwork pants to ripped skinny jeans, and graphic tees adorned with bold neckwear pieces, TXT’s styling has grown up with them. This is also reflected in their ever-growing fanbase, particularly their reach on social media, from fans who were simply tweeting the excitement on stage, to fashion accounts such as stylebytxt who take time out of their day to talk about their outfits in real-time!
TXT + Coi Leray
Coverage on TXT’s Lollapalooza performances wouldn’t have been done right if I failed to mention Coi Leray’s special appearance on their set! The American rapper’s performance consisted of “Players,” and the energy of all six of them could be felt during the performance of their collaboration track, “Happy Fools!''
Coi’s “I ❤️ TXT” crop top is just one of the plethora of shirts in her collection for the group. To top it off, she matched TXT’s rock concept for her look matching their denim in her legendary mini-skirt showing off her fresh “Leray” tattoo, with a bedazzled studded leather belt topped with a heart matching the groups prior “LO$ER=LO♡ER” concept. I personally will be stealing this whole outfit for the next TXT tour!
