They are finally here everyone! RIIZE has made their official debut and it has all of us wanting to play the guitar. RIIZE is the new seven-member boy group under SM Entertainment. The members Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Seunghan, Sohee, and Anton, put their all into this highly-anticipated debut. Their single album features two songs that show the versatility of RIIZE.

The anticipation for this group was at its highest. With the pre-release of their song “Siren,” everyone was super excited for the debut of RIIZE. Many of us thought this group was going to release music similar to another SM Entertainment group, NCT, but we actually got something different. Their title track “Get A Guitar” is super chill compared to their prerelease “Siren.” While “Siren” is an upbeat, bass induced dance track, “Get A Guitar” is a laid back, feel-good song. The strums of the guitar in the song are really soothing. There is something interesting that I saw in the video and that was the way they utilized the RIIZE members’ talent. There are clips of member Wonbin playing the guitar in the video. It is a great touch to the already aesthetically pleasing scenes. RIIZE gives off such a youthful vibe. This song makes many of us feel like running down the shorelines at the beach. Another interesting part of this debut was the smooth choreography they executed. Every movement was effortless and transitioned easily into the next. The moves are striking and hard-hitting but flow all together. Honestly, it’s a really fun debut that is so joyful to listen to.

Listening to this song makes me want to go for a ride with my friends. This song was also a prerelease and was a complete turn around from “Siren.” However, the beat change in this song threw me for a loop. I wasn’t expecting the complete 180 that the beat change did, just for it to go back to the original sound. “Memories” is a song that brings a smile to many listeners' faces. It’s a lighthearted track that can still be considered a summer banger. The video shows the members together, having fun, and enjoying the world around them. The artistic styling of the video showing clips of the members having fun, and pictures makes any viewer want to bask in the overall vibe of this upbeat track. It’s a really cute track that would make any listener want to join in the fun.
As a new fan, I was really anticipating the debut of RIIZE, similar to many listeners. This group grabbed our attention before the name was even announced and they did not disappoint. We can all sense the overall happy vibe of this group and we are excited for the future of RIIZE and what's to come.
