Rolling Quartz Releases New Single Ahead of 2025 Tour

Indie rock band Rolling Quartz has dropped a new digital single. The single comes just a little over a month before they kick off their 2025 tour in Europe, which will continue into North America through the spring.

Rolling Quartz remains the only true girl rock band on the scene, and if you ask me we are sorely lacking this genre. Regardless, it’s great to have that representation with them, and the new single “RE.BOLD” is true in its form as a pure rock single. Jayoung has a very unique vocal tone that fits perfectly with the rock genre, and I’m always blown away by her ability to sing. With such a unique timbre, it’s hard to not be spellbound by her vocals. The song is a classic heavy rock track, even including guitar solos from Hyunjung and Iree. There's not much else to say but this one was for the metal girlies, that’s for sure.

The music video reminds me a lot of the rock wave in the early 2000s, mixed with a tiny bit of visual storytelling attributed to many K-Pop music videos. A lot of rock videos don’t focus on any kind of story plot, with the exception of maybe a singular visual metaphor used throughout the video. It’s a simple concept, but it’s about the performance energy of a band as the main focal point of the video. The small storyline we get in the video definitely showcases a rebel vibe, matching the group’s aesthetic.

If you haven’t yet, check out the music video for “RE.BOLD” below.
