What’s The Kraze: 2024 Wrapped

Apple Music Replay and Spotify Wrapped came out this week! What were our results? Were we surprised by them? Did our ults reign supreme? Or did someone unexpected take the crown? Read on to see what The Kraze had on repeat in 2024.

Jay (Marketing Director): Ooh oooh! I was not anticipating LE SSERAFIM’s “EASY” to take the top spot for me this year in my Spotify Wrapped! I thought I had other songs much higher. I was also shocked that I did not get any Stray Kids or IU in my top five songs considering they’re in my top five artists.

Roxy (Chief Marketing Officer): I’m showing my age but I still keep all of my music off streaming services and on my computer so I won't lose it. I have over 150 GB of music collected in my lifetime. But, if I did stream, ATEEZ’s ”Crazy Form” and “WORK,” Chungha's “EENIE MEENIE,” aespa's ”Supernova,” and XG's ”WOKE UP” would 100% be at the top five.

Courtney (Writer): Xdinary Heroes were the only artist from Korea on my top artists this year whilst "F*CK OFF" from Snake Chicken Soup (an amazing Korean rock band fronted by Chwvin from Wetter) and H1GHER MUSIC’s "The Purge" were the only two Korean songs in my top songs! I don't know why I’ve been obsessed with "The Purge" this year and with all of my artists and other songs being of the rock genre, I've clearly had a global rock phase this year.

Ciara (Photographer): For the most part, my Spotify Wrapped was a surprise to absolutely no one, least of all me. I am nothing if not a KingDom and ONE PACT enjoyer. “ENERGY,” “Flip that Coin,” and “KARMA” by KingDom came in at 1,2, and 5 respectively. 3 and 4 were ”Hot Stuff” and “FXX OFF” by ONE PACT. CRAVITY were an unexpected third most listened to artist.

Rae (Editor): My Spotify Wrapped was to be expected: Gen 3 dominated with MONSTA X “KISS OR DEATH" still in my top five.

Khannie (Founder/CEO): Apparently the repeat of Jungkook's amazing R&B voice in “TOO MUCH” has dominated my top played song.

Jacob (Writer): From my Spotify Wrapped, my artist rankings were:

1. NMIXX

2. PURPLE K!SS

3. aespa

4. Kep1er

5. TWS

Going off previous years, this checks out. Usually my top five consists of four female artists and one male artist, though it's funny that TWS pushed SEVENTEEN out. They've never been off my top five until this year.

Three out of five of my most streamed songs were from NMIXX, and aespa's "Armageddon" came in second (I do love it, but I was shocked by how high it was). From artists that weren't in my top five, QWER's "T.B.H" and Weeekly's "LIGHTS ON" made it into my top 10 streamed songs.

Jean (Photographer): As expected, ONF takes the top spot on both artist/song. "Bye My Monster" is probably still my fave of 2024. Kinda surprised of the other top five songs, but they're all such good songs and deserve their standing. The other artists are as expected.

Robyn (Social Content Manager): My Spotify Wrapped usually never surprises me but this time it did. Of course my top artist is going to be GOT7 (I mean like duh) but my top song was actually “Kissing Booth” by NSB. Also love the fact that you can tell that I’m a nerd for Valorant because it was my second most played artist.

Cidney (Writer): I get shocked by my Apple Replay every year. Since my music taste is all over the place, I never know what genre won for the year. For 2024, I am shocked but not shocked at the same time. ATEEZ being my most replayed artist is not shocking to me. It was one point where I was just listening to their albums on repeat. Maybe it was the excitement for the concert (and playing the setlist afterwards). What shocked me, is the amount of minutes I listened.

Kelly (Co-Editor-in-Chief): I always get in a DAY6 mood on rainy days and back in July of this year that led to me listening to only them for four months straight. They were an easy clear for my most listened to artist (and it’s also the first time they nabbed the top spot!). But SEVENTEEN wasn’t far behind: after seeing them on tour, I’ve switched lanes and have only been listening to them since October. I think it says a lot that they still ended up in my number 2 spot despite coming in at the end of the Spotify Wrapped tracking period. Needless to say though, I expected these results. And I’m sure they’ll be more or less the same in 2025 too.
