Let’s Talk About Love

We are now in February. It is time to talk about the “L” word: love. Plenty of songs feature the word “love” in the title and talk about being in or out of love. I'm pretty sure you can name at least five songs off the top of your head. So, let’s take a look and talk about these songs that are here to listen to this upcoming Valentine’s Day. 

Baekhyun - “Cry For Love” 

The vocal legend himself released one of the most gut wrenching, chest-grabbing ballads I have ever heard. Baekhyun is a name in K-Pop that many of us know. He is known to create music that makes you want to scream the lyrics at the top of your lungs. “Cry For Love” is a B-side featured on his hit third mini-album Bambi. The mini-album is jam-packed with tracks that tug on your heartstrings. The runs, the lyrics, and the notes in this song all carry such strong emotion. This song about yearning for love is a track that needs to be played during the season of love.  

NCT 127 - “Love Song” 

NCT 127, an SM Entertainment boy group, dropped their hit album, Neo Zone - The 2nd Album, on March 6, 2020. This album has back-to-back hits that are all a joy to listen to. There is one song in particular that I want to bring up. “Love Song” is the tenth track on this groovy album. The song has a sick beat that makes you move your hips instantly. This light-hearted love song is the perfect mixture of fun and love that instantly brings a smile to your face the moment it starts. It’s a track you can lay back and relax to and a track you can get up and dance to. So, on your Valentine's Day, playing this song will brighten the mood of the whole room.

TWICE - “Baby Blue Love” 

You can’t help but love how girly pop this song is. TWICE, a JYP Entertainment girl group, dropped their summer album, Taste of Love - EP, on June 11, 2021. This fun and joyful album is the summer album many of us play to this day. “Baby Blue Love” is the fifth song on the EP, and it’s a joy to listen to. The lyrics are so addictive: “Hey boy, play the track. ‘Cause you give me heart attack. You’re my Baby Blue Love, and get my body rockin’.” If you party on Valentine’s Day, play this song. It is an upbeat love song that is destined to get the party started.
