Concert Essentials

With the crazy amount of tours being announced, tickets being announced, and concerts happening as fast as we can blink, it’s important to talk about the essentials of what to bring and how to be prepared for shows.

The obvious items such as your phone, a charger, and wallet are the biggest priority. Nowadays, tickets are all electronic and are accessed right on our phones, so make sure to have a portable charger with you! The last thing you need is a dead battery trying to scan your ticket or when you want to take photos during the concert. Your wallet is also super important so you have money to buy food or merchandise. Getting to other essentials (especially for my ladies out there), it may be even necessary to bring feminine hygiene products. As miserable as that time can be, it’s better to be prepared for it while you’re in the venue.

As K-Pop fans, whether you buy one beforehand or at the venue, you have to get a lightstick! Swinging a lightstick around is half the fun of being in the crowd of a concert. A lot of times, they sell them at the venue and give you batteries with them. If you have one already, bring extra batteries just in case! The last thing you want is your lightstick to die before or during the show. The other super fun item to bring is a photocard in a cute holder! A lot of photocard holders are made into cute keychains and it can be fun to decorate your bag with it. And speaking of bags, always be sure to double-check the bag policy of the venues! A lot of times, clear bags will go through no problem, but make sure to check size requirements. Many venues also offer bag storage or lockers in case your bag does not fit policy.

Other smaller items you may want to bring include chapstick, tissues (if you cry like me!), an umbrella in case of rainy days, and if you’re creative make freebies! Freebies are given out at a lot of shows and can range from homemade photocards, keychains, or goodie bags.

Most importantly, when attending any shows or festivals this year, stay safe, hydrated, and have the most fun night you can!
