Singer, Producer, Director, and Model DPR Ian Can Do It All!
DPR Ian made a striking appearance at Milan Fashion Week for Dolce & Gabbana.
One of the most exciting aspects of being a music and fashion enthusiast is witnessing the intersection of both industries. That is why Fashion Week is a highly anticipated event for us, as many of our favorite artists have the opportunity to represent some of our favorite brands. The Fall 2024 Menswear collection showcase by Dolce & Gabbana at Milan Fashion Week took place during the second week of January this year. The theme was "Sleek," and invitations were extended to several Korean stars, including DPR Ian.
DPR Ian, also known as Christian Yu, is a Korean-Australian musician, director, and member of the creative group DPR (Dream Perfect Regime). He rose to prominence through his solo music career and his work directing music videos for various artists under "DPR VISUALS + IAN." His most recent project involves directing IU's music video for her song "Shopper," which has amassed over seven million views on YouTube.
Ian is recognized globally for his unique musical style, which blends elements of hip-hop, R&B, and electronic music. His music videos are particularly captivating as each project extends beyond the song itself, telling a compelling story. With a substantial following both domestically and internationally, Ian continues to make waves in the music scene, and we look forward to the possibility that he could extend his influence into the fashion industry.
Despite this being DPR Ian's first Fashion Week appearance, his remarkable presence at the event would make it hard to believe. Ian's ensemble was curated by Dolce & Gabbana, featuring a monochromatic look from the DGSS24 runway collection. He wore a casual pair of black trousers, complemented by a black silk chiffon button-up top with polka-dot print and glossy black boots. To elevate the outfit, Ian accessorized with a black cummerbund around his waist, adding a touch of elegance into his overall look. DPR Ian’s impeccable arrival to the runway show captured the attention of the media, fans, and other artists at the event.
At the after party, DPR Ian impressed the crowd once again by donning another piece from the collection. For this occasion, he opted for an all-black ensemble, comprising a timeless pair of black tailored pants paired with a sleeveless tulle top and a black double-breasted wool waistcoat featuring a bare back. The outfit perfectly enhanced Ian’s silhouette making him a perfect model for the piece.
As DPR Ian evolves as an artist, we sincerely hope this isn't his first venture into the fashion world. With the embrace of his uniqueness and dark aura, DPR Ian has the potential to achieve remarkable feats in the realm of fashion.
