My All-Time Favorite B-Sides Part 1

In 2014, I was introduced to the world of K-Pop. This genre was something new for me and was super intriguing. In 2016, I really started to get into the genre and started to listen to so many new artists. Since then, I have heard many songs from many different artists, and today, I thought to talk about some of the B-sides that I came across that I consider my all-time favorites.

“Blue Orangeade” - TXT (Tomorrow x Together)

On their first-ever EP, TXT (Tomorrow x Together) showed just how great they were going to be. The debut EP, The Dream Chapter: STAR - EP features a B-side that makes you want to jump and dance. “Blue Orangeade” is the first song on the album and sets the mood for the rest of the EP. The members Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai came together to create a song that is a favorite amongst so many MOAs. Listening to this song now is so nostalgic, and seeing the growth of the members from debut to now will instantly put a smile on your face. For any MOAs who want to feel that feeling of joy, I recommend listening to this song and checking out the recent video they’ve done to this song.

“Fast Pace” - SEVENTEEN

Between the angelic voices and jazz-infused backing track, I can’t choose which part I love more when it comes to this song. “Fast Pace” is a jazz B-side that incorporates SEVENTEEN’s smooth vocals and rapping skills. This sensual B-side is the fifth song on their album Going Seventeen. This track is addictive and the jazz-infused beat makes you feel like you have traveled back in time. The members S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino are seen on stage dancing in sync and giving a flawless performance that holds a special place in the hearts of many Carats (including me).

“Baby Don’t Like It” - NCT 127

Let me tell you, seeing this live changed my life. “Baby Don’t Like It” is a track from NCT 127’s hit EP, NCT #127 LIMITLESS - The 2nd Mini Album. The rap verses in this song are so good, and the vocals are heaven-sent. From the first listen, you will get hooked to this R&B track. This song is addictive, and the members Taeil, Taeyong, Doyoung, Mark, and Haechan gave us a groovy track that makes you want to sing along or bust a move. I would definitely recommend this track if you want to get into NCT 127.
