EVNNE Kick Up the Heat With Their New Album RIDE or DIE
"BADDER LOVE,” A HOT SUMMER DAY
EVNNE returned on June 17 with their third mini-album, RIDE or DIE, delivering a refreshing and charming title song, “Badder Love.” The track begins with a mix of bass and guitar sounds with a synthesizer note bringing a little futuristic touch. Filmed in the beautiful setting of Jeju Island, the music video features stunning scenery at iconic locations on the island, like Mount Hallasan, Seopjikoji, and Cheonjeyeon Falls. The climax of the video shows one of the boys sticking his head out of the water after diving. Time slows down, with a long shot of his face in a suave atmosphere; this freeze frame shows all the beauty of youth at its peak. This short break gives way to a dynamic and fluid choreography. It is in an intimate environment, in the darkness of a faint light, that the seven boys perform a perfectly synchronized dance. Another captivating moment follows when EVNNE bathes and dances naively near the water, giving a feeling of lightness and happiness. The video ends with messages and drawings delivered by EVNNE on post-its, hung on Jeju Island as if to leave a souvenir of their visit.
