Lisa Truly is a “Rockstar”

Make way as Lisa is back! Three years after making her solo debut, the highly anticipated solo comeback of BLACKPINK’s Lisa has finally arrived and she is here to remind everyone of the rockstar power she has. Since her departure from YG Entertainment and establishing her own company LLOUD, Lisa has finally made her solo comeback, just in time for the start of the summer and to take the world by storm. 

Titled “Rockstar,” Lisa offers up a high-impact, charismatic and fierce song, that is a major flex in knowing that she really is the “it girl.” The confidence oozes out of “Rockstar” as Lisa knows that wherever she goes, all eyes are on her and everyone wants to be her. Although fans know that Lisa does have a cute side to her, the rockstar Lisa is all glam and grit mixed together. When it comes to “Rockstar” there is no soft, fun and flirty vibe in the song and style, but instead, it is the more sharp, edgy and dominating. The song is catchy and addictive, which comes as no surprise as Lisa would deliver a song that will make you dance and bob your head to. Not to mention, she still manages to make you swoon as she hits you with the cut-throat rap. 

Although the song is relatively short (including the extended version), falling just under three minutes, it’s enough to still create an impact that will have the song stuck in your head for a long time to come. To top off the song, Lisa has also released a music video that perfectly encapsulates the rockstar vibe that she has going for her. From clearing the busy streets of her home country, Thailand, to exquisite displays of choreography with not only her main back-up dancers, but with a larger group that still manages to center Lisa. Down to the different outfits that place emphasis on utilizing stars or things that can shine like a star, there are no details that are missed when it comes to Lisa and “Rockstar.” 

This surely is not going to be the last that we shall see of Lisa for sure. This is only the beginning of her solo career and only amplifying her star power. This single is merely a taste of the music that we are going to get from her, and we can only hope she releases more soon.
