The Color is Orange
Every month we discuss a new color and the albums with the color on full display. This month, the color is orange. This one was hard to search for, but trust, I found albums by our favorite groups with orange on the cover. Orange is a bright and vibrant color that brings about emotions like happiness and excitement, and comes in many different shades. It’s a gorgeous color and today, we are going to take it back and talk about the albums with this bright color.
NMIXX - ENTWURF - EP
On September 19, 2022, JYP Entertainment girl group NMIXX dropped their EP, ENTWURF. This EP is as explosive as the cover. The cover is different shades of orange and an arrangement of many colors like purple, green, and pink. We see a burnt orange cloud and Dr. Suess-esque plants. The EP has four songs in total. You have the title track, “DICE,” a hit song from NMIXX. The members, Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, Kywin, and former member Jinni gave us a track we can never forget. This EP has three other songs, “COOL (Your rainbow),” “DICE (Inst.), and “COOL (Your rainbow) [Inst.].” It is a fun EP and showed us who NMIXX is.
P1Harmony - HARMONY: ZERO IN - EP
On July 20, 2022, FNC Entertainment boy group P1Harmony dropped their banger of an EP, HARMONY: ZERO IN. This album cover perfectly matched the futuristic concept P1Harmony was going for, with a light orange and mixture of yellow that creates a bright aura on the all-black background. The bold print orange lettering catches your eyes the moment you glance at it. The title track for this EP is “Doom Du Doom.” This song embodies a catchy beat and a strong but lighthearted presence. Keeho, Theo, Jiung, Intak, Soul, and Jongseob went full-out with their vocals and dance moves. The EP has five other songs that live up to the hype of “Doom Du Doom.” The five songs, “Black Hole,” “Yes Man,” “Swagger,” “Mirror Mirror,” and “Different Song For Me,” all come together to create an unforgettable album that is so much fun to listen to.
NCT 127 - NCT #127 Neo Zone - The 2nd Album
On March 6, 2020, SM Entertainment boy group NCT 127 dropped, what many believe, is one of their best albums, NCT #127 Neo Zone - The 2nd Album. This jam-packed album catches your attention even before the first song plays. With an illuminating orange building in the back and big and bold lettering, your eyes are instantly drawn to the cover. This album is home to tracks that we know and love from NCT 127, one of them being “Kick It.” This hard-hitting title track is one even non-NCTzens know. “Kick It” is a title track packed with addictive raps, strong vocals, and captivating choreography. It’s a bass-induced track that gets stuck in your head. The members Taeyong, Taeil, Johnny, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan are amazing performers, and the 12 other songs on here prove that. “Elevator (127F),” “Boom,” “Pandora’s Box,” “Day Dream,” “Interlude: Neo Zone,” “MAD DOG,” “Sit Down!,” “Love Me Now,” “Love Song,” “White Night,” “Not Alone,” and “Dream Come True” show the variety of genres NCT 127 can do, and makes for an unskippable album.
