Title Track: “Run Away”

Starting the EP off strong, Tzuyu takes us through a wave of emotion with her title track, “Run Away.” The song starts calmly. The sound of the piano, plus Tzuyu vocals creates a more mystical sound. The moment the beat comes in, that mystical sound has a more retro feel. That signature TWICE retro sound is heard throughout the track. The song is upbeat and is groovy. The sound has this ‘80s feel to it, and the synth/electric beat adds to it. It’s a certified Pop track and is a song everyone is going to be obsessed with. Her voice matches this concept perfectly. This more bubbly, dance music is something that many expected Tzuyu to do and she did an excellent job.

In the music video, we see Tzuyu looking ethereal. The mystical, fairytale sound coincides with this breathtaking video. The video is like a story. There are parts in the video when we see Tzuyu going through different sets that each have a different plot to them. For example, there is a scene when she is in a darkened hallway with dancers, and then is seen alone walking. It has such an eerie feeling to it, and changes the vibe of the video. “Run Away” is a great debut song, and Tzuyu did an amazing job.
