Have you ever come across a group and their B-sides are just out of this world? I have many, many times. One of them is Big Hit Entertainment/HYBE boy group TXT (TOMORROW X TOGETHER). TXT is a phenomenal group with a tremendous amount of talent. Their title tracks are already so good the moment you scroll through the rest of the album. So, let’s take a look at some TXT B-sides that are so good.

“Opening Sequence” - minisode 2: Thursday Child - EP

On May 9, 2022, TXT dropped their EP, minisode 2: Thursday Child. The first song on the EP, “Opening Sequence,” is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. The song has this strong beat but soulful and powerful vocals. This is one of those songs that make you feel like you are floating. The siren-like vocals will have you hooked the moment the song starts. Each member gets a chance to showcase their fantastic voice, and each of their sounds fits the angst concept of the track. The fact that this song starts the EP sets the tone for the rest of the mini-album. I feel like if I ever see song this song in person, I would either cry or scream along to the lyrics, or both. It’s a beautiful song and will always be one of their iconic B-sides. 

“Frost” - The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE

On May 31, 2021, their album The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE dropped and blew our minds. The album is home to eight amazing songs, each spectacular on its own. The last song on the album is “Frost.” The song starts with a strong rock sound and member Huening Kai's iconic “I’m so shocked” and laugh. Another song where they use the natural tone of their voices to create this angsty punk sound to the song. “Frost” is a well-known song amongst MOA and other K-Pop fans. The song is addictive and showcases the range of the members’ voices. It’s a great song that brings up the energy of everyone in the room.

“Maze in the Mirror” - The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY - EP 

This song is for my ballad girlies (me). On May 18, 2020, TXT released their iconic EP, The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY. On that EP is their graceful B-side “Maze in the Mirror.” This track is the fourth song on the EP, and it’s another one of those songs that make you feel like you are floating on a cloud. Up until the final chorus, the entire song is accompanied by a guitar. The song is acoustic; with that, we hear the raw emotion behind the members’ voices. During the final chorus, we hear the drums start to come in, and once that happens, you are overcome with emotions. “Maze in the Mirror” is an emotional song but is so beautiful that you can’t help but replay it.
