Following their official debut on June 23, 2025, with the single album Famous, ALLDAY PROJECT (ADP) returns with their first mini-album (EP), titled ALLDAY PROJECT. Containing six tracks and running approximately 17 minutes, this EP is intended as a "personal diary," offering an exploration of the diverse musical and emotional facets of its members.
TRACKLIST:
“ONE MORE TIME”
“LOOK AT ME”
“YOU AND I”
“WHERE YOU AT” (Annie & Woochan)
“HOT” (Tarzzan & Bailey)
“MEDUSA” (Tarzzan)
MUSICAL DIVERSITY AND DISTRIBUTION
The EP illustrates the plurality of ALLDAY PROJECT's influences and styles:
"LOOK AT ME" is described as an energetic track, blending melodic vocals and incisive rap, while "YOU AND I" adopts a softer, more atmospheric vibe with Afrobeat touches, highlighting the group's more sensitive and introspective side.
The EP also includes subunit and solo tracks: "WHERE YOU AT" with Annie & Woochan, "HOT" featuring the duo Tarzzan & Bailey, and "MEDUSA" with a solo from Tarzzan. However, the uneven distribution of tracks and verses could be noted, particularly the absence of a solo or subunit track featuring member Youngseo.
A LESS SPECTACULAR MUSIC VIDEO
Unlike “FAMOUS” and “WICKED,” which possessed a strong atmosphere and a distinct visual identity, “LOOK AT ME” comes across as a much less spectacular music video. It relies primarily on the members' presence, accompanied by an almost childlike chorus and a catchy but overall rather bland rhythm.
The video lacks a story, memorable choreography, and a truly developed concept. Some of the sets, very empty and with uniform colors, even evoke the aesthetic of Roblox's "Backrooms," creating a somewhat strange, almost unsettling atmosphere that doesn't fit with the powerful image ADP had cultivated.
The boys are also somewhat sidelined, and the whole thing doesn't seem to reflect their true potential. The final result therefore feels sterile, far from the aura and visual power the group had accustomed us to with their previous projects, which had a more stylized, more "Black Label vibe."
WHEN THE EP FINALLY REVEALS ITSELF
The second half of the EP is a pleasant surprise. While the title track leaves a mixed impression, the following tracks unveil a much more appealing direction. The atmospheres are more nuanced, the production better balanced, and the emotions more authentic.
"YOU AND I" is a prime example, showcasing a cool, more musical, and significantly more controlled vibe. It reveals a genuine sensitivity, a clearer identity, and a sense of melody that the group.
"WHERE YOU AT" and "HOT" breathe new life into the EP. The duets work very well, especially Annie & Woochan–their vocal chemistry is one of the project's strong points.
However, as mentioned earlier, a solo or duet with member Youngseo is missing.
AN IMPERFECT BUT PROMISING FIRST ARRIVAL
With ALLDAY PROJECT, ADP delivers a debut mini-album that oscillates between hesitations and promising revelations. While the title track doesn't fully exploit the strong identity the group established with “FAMOUS” and “WICKED,” the second half of the EP demonstrates their true potential, particularly through more polished, sensitive, and better-constructed tracks. The units bring a real dynamism and allow the members' complementary skills to be appreciated, even if Youngseo's reduced presence remains an area for improvement.
In short, this EP reveals a group still developing, but rich with potential.
