One Letter K-Songs

Some songs are memorable through their lyrics, their sound, or the visuals of their music videos. Others might be more memorable because of the artist who sings it, or perhaps it's a cover or performed as a collaboration with another iconic artist. To me, all the songs below are memorable for their short and snappy song titles that consist of just one letter. From K-R&B, to K-Rock, to K-Pop, take a listen to these one letter titled songs that you won't be forgetting in a hurry.

“U” - oceanfromtheblue, slchld

The fifth track from oceanfromtheblue and slchld's 2019 album aeries?, "U" combines a delicate orchestral backdrop with beautifully haunting sounds that resemble whale noises that, together, create a pleasantly peaceful listening experience as if the two artists have taken us down to their own personal ocean. Layered over this calming combination are oceanfromtheblue and slchld's soothing vocals that enrich the already stunning track.

“Q” - ONEWE, Hwasa

ONEWE and Hwasa deliver summer vibes in their 2020 collaboration "Q." Known for their rock music, ONEWE dive into more of a pop and hip-hop sound with "Q" as the members take to the song with addictive rap vocals that beautifully compliment Hwasa's soft singing vocals. The impressive instrument arrangement also carries slight reggae vibes that, along with ONEWE and Hwasa's vocals, make "Q" the perfect track for summertime.

“X” - MONSTA X

From their fifth EP The Code, MONSTA X delivers gripping boyband vibes in the track "X." The electronic elements of the backdrop exude a futuristic essence while simultaneously having a nostalgic pop feel. "X" is a track I can imagine opening a MONSTA X concert as the song feels powerful with an ability to set a strong tone for more hard-hitting MONSTA X tracks to follow it.
