Our bright and colorful boys are back with an equally bright and colorful release. After a stellar debut, these boys have been on a steady incline and have been releasing hit after hit. poppop - The 2nd Mini Album is an upbeat, joyous experience that makes listeners want to jump up and dance. There are six songs on the album that are so much fun to listen to and showcase the immense talent of the NCT WISH members.

The moment the song starts, you can’t help but feel excited. With the striking beat and lyrics “pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop,” you’ll instantly jump up out of your seat, ready to give your best performance. Each “pop” is right on the beat and is very satisfying to hear. Still keeping to that happy-go-lucky sound, the instrumental is lighthearted with a hard-hitting beat that will make you move your head along. The members' vocals really suit this track. Full of energy and good vibes, the members at a higher tone to mimic the bright aura of the song. “poppop” is an addictive song. Just one listen, and you will want to replay the song over and over again. I found myself rewinding the track to the beginning every time it ended.
The music video is a beautiful love story. Sticking to the Cupid storyline they have, member Sion gets the spotlight in this video. The cupid theme mixed with the candy concept makes for an exciting video that will catch your eye the moment it starts. The choreography for the track sticks to that NCT flow of dance, which is striking and complex. A moment that stands out in the choreo is the pop motion they do with their hands when they say “pop.” It’s an attention to detail that makes this choreography even better. “poppop” is a fun song that will bring a smile to your face, on first listen.

poppop - The 2nd Mini Album - EP is a great release that everyone should check out. The six songs are so enjoyable and can be played for any mood you are in. My personal favorites are “Design” and “1000.” So, check out poppop - The 2nd Mini Album - EP for a good time.
