Throwback Thursday: Summer Hits

It is now the summer time, and with that comes the summer bangers. It's time to go on those long road trips, take trips to the beach, and plan those vacations with friends. I can only imagine riding down the highway, windows down, with the music blasting. So, let’s take it back and talk about some tracks that are perfect for the summer time. 

BOYNEXTDOOR - “Earth, Wind, & Fire” 

On April 15, 2024, KOZ Entertainment's energetic boy group BOYNEXTDOOR dropped their iconic, upbeat, and thrilling track “Earth, Wind, & Fire.” Just from the opening note, you are already on your feet and ready to dance. With a blend of rock, electro, and pop, “Earth, Wind, & Fire” is a burst of energy that instantly brings a smile to your face. Everything about this song is addictive. The beat makes you want to dance, and the lyrics make you want to sing along. “Baby boo, me sweetie darling, think I love you more, more, more.” Many love to sing along to this fast-paced song, and it’s so much fun to listen to. You've got to give it to BOYNEXTDOOR; they definitely know how to make an enjoyable track. 

SEVENTEEN - “Ready To Love” 

 On June 18, 2021, mega group SEVENTEEN dropped their eighth mini-album Your Choice.  This album features a number of hit songs, one of which is their beautiful, upbeat, and cheerful track “Ready To Love.” This track is a breathtaking, danceable ballad, and the members give us unforgettable vocals. I picture this song being played while on that road trip, or at the hotel with friends, while you sing it at the top of your lungs. The members' vocals are phenomenal, and the ad-libs are amazing. You can’t help but sing along to Seungkwan and DK’s ad-libs and try to copy the choreography. It’s a great song that's perfect for a summer trip or sleepover with friends.

TWICE - “FANCY” 

On April 22, 2019, JYP Entertainment's ICONIC girl group TWICE dropped their hit ”FANCY.” This song is monumental. It changed lives.  TWICE is a powerhouse, and in this song, the girls showcase vocals and choreography that are truly unforgettable.  To this day, “FANCY” remains a well-known song among K-Pop fans and continues to be discussed. The bright and bubbly concept, combined with the cheerful pop tune, creates a summer hit perfect for the parties you're ready to throw. It’s truly an unforgettable track that will have you and your friends screaming at the top of your lungs.
