Have you ever had that one song that, once you hear it, you are singing it word for word? There are so many songs like that, and many of us have prepared our whole lives for the performance we are about to put on. So, let’s take it back and talk about some songs that, once we sing, we feel like we are a part of the group.
EXO - “CALL ME BABY”
On March 30, 2015, SM Entertainment's mega boy group EXO released their jam-packed album, The 2nd Album ‘EXODUS.’ On that album is their upbeat, phenomenal, addictive dance track “CALL ME BABY.” This track is well-known, and many love to sing this song word for word. The moment you hear the infamous “Call me baby” in the beginning, you can’t help but jump to your feet and sing and dance along to the track. While listening to this track, you can hear the distinct tones of each member, which merge to create a masterpiece. This is a hype track that will have you believing you are the extra member of EXO.
Girls’ Generation - “I GOT A BOY”
On January 1, 2013, the iconic SM Entertainment girl group Girls’ Generation released their I GOT A BOY - The 4th Album. That album is home to one of their most iconic tracks, “I GOT A BOY.” This track is so much fun. The moment you hear “Ayo GG,” you are instantly ready to sing along to the track. This is a song many know word for word. The song features numerous beat changes, which transport you to a new emotional state. The moment you hear that “Don’t stop, let’s bring it back to 140,” you are back to that striking chorus and singing along with the girls.
PENTAGON - “Shine”
On April 2, 2018, CUBE ENTERTAINMENT’s talented boy group PENTAGON released their happy, go-lucky mini-album Positive - EP. This album features one of the most well-known K-Pop songs. “Shine” is an upbeat track that you can’t help but dance and sing along to. The moment the song starts and you hear that piano playing, you are instantly on your feet, ready to do the shoot like the members, or belt out the high note with members Jinho and Hui. Either you are dancing the choreography, singing the lyrics, or doing both simultaneously while holding your imaginary microphone. “Shine” is an incredibly addictive song that remains pure fun from start to finish.
