[EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW]: HITGS Highlights Debut and the Song They Most Want to Share at KCON
Going to KCON is not only about having the chance to see and interact with your faves. It’s also about finding new groups that might hit your heartstrings. HITGS is probably the cutest new girl group to debut. These rookies tore up their stages at KCON LA 2025 Presented by Olive Young the first weekend of August, with their pure energy and great music. HITGS, under H MUSIC Entertainment, is a five member group made up of Seojin, Seohee, Hyerin, Iyoo, and VV. Recently debuting on April 28, 2025, they were all over the KCON convention stages. For anyone else new to the group, they're pronounced “HIT”+”G’S” which means Hip, Innocent, Teenager, Girls Story. Before jumping onto the convention X Stage for their showcase, HITGS took a few minutes to chat with us and talk about their debut and the song that they’re most excited to share at KCON. They are definitely a group not to be missed and their debut track is so infectious that you need to add it to your playlist now!
Q: HELLO HITGS! CAN YOU PLEASE EACH INTRODUCE YOURSELVES, YOUR ROLE IN THE GROUP, AND LET US KNOW WHAT YOU ARE MOST EXCITED ABOUT FOR YOUR FIRST KCON!
Seohee: Hello. I’m Seohee from HITGS and play a vitamin-like role in the group!
Hyerin: Hi. I’m HITGS Hyerin and I carry HITGS loveable visual.
Seojin: Hello! I’m HITGS Seojin and I’m the moodmaker in this group and today, since we are at KCON, and the audience reaction from our earlier showcase was so good, we’re having such a fun time while we’re here.
Iyoo: I’m HITGS lyoo and I’m the group's maknae and have the position of the stan fairy!
VV: I'm HITGS VV! With a doll-like face, I'm HITGS Barbie! Thank you!
Q: YOU JUST DEBUTED THIS SPRING, CONGRATULATIONS! CAN YOU LET US KNOW WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT SINCE YOUR DEBUT?
SH: For me it was the day of our debut showcase. As it was the first time we were able to stand on stage in front of many fans, that memory seems to have made a huge impression on me.
SJ: For me it was when we went to a college festival event. There were many people who didn’t know us, but they cheered for us so passionately that it was an event that we enjoyed a lot.
Q. WHAT IS THE SONG THAT YOU WOULD RECOMMEND TO SOMEONE AT KCON WHO IS HEARING ABOUT YOU FOR THE FIRST TIME AND WHY?
SJ: The song that we would really like to recommend is our debut song, “SOURPATCH.” It’s a song that carries the idea of our love for everything, but the meaning, in a wider sense, relates to the identity of our group. So this is the song that we would want to recommend the most.

SH: First of all, we're thankful that we were able to come to such a big event as KCON. It’s so cool, and because you’ve given us such interest and love, we’re so thankful. Thank you! And in the future, we hope you keep HITGS in your hearts. Thank you!
