After almost three years since their last album, with members completing their military service and many releasing solo albums and going on tours, EXO is back with their stellar, electric, and addictive album REVERXE. REVERXE, an album with nine eye-catching, hard-hitting songs, captures the range of the EXO members.
REVERXE - The 8th Album Tracklist:
“Crown” (Title Track)
“Back It Up”
“Crazy”
“Suffocate”
“Moonlight Shadows”
“Back Pocket”
“Touch & Go”
“Flatline”
“I’m Home”
The album starts with their super-hype, hard-hitting title track, “Crown.” A track with a captivating beat, “Crown” uses SM Entertainment's signature energetic sound to bring in a crowd and make you want to dance. EXO does an amazing job with dark concepts. “Crown” has a darker side compared to the last release, “Cream Soda.” The composition/placement of the song is skillfully placed. The song starts already as a ball of fire. Starting with members Chanyeol and Sehun, the beat builds up, and like a mic drop, we are then hit with a powerful bass drop that is the chorus. “Crown” is a track that feeds us EXO-L’s. Throughout the song and music video, each member gets a moment to shine, and after anticipating their return for so long, it felt great to see each member get their spotlight. While watching the video, you get to see that phenomenal EXO synchronization that we know and love. With each beat drop, it was like the choreography hit right on the point and commanded the attention of every watcher. “Crown” is a great title track, and it was an awakening return from EXO. They definitely deserve the “Crown.”

REVERXE is a stellar album. Many of us have been anticipating this release ever since the announcement, and we were not disappointed. In true EXO fashion, the boys cover each genre throughout the album. The upbeat, hard-hitting, energetic tracks, a mix of Hip-Hop and EDM, like “Crown,” “Back It Up,” “Crazy,” and “Touch & Go,” are right on the nose. Those songs will have you on your feet, showing off your best dance moves. Would it be an EXO album if they didn’t showcase those unforgettable vocals in an R&B track? Well, they delivered on tracks “Suffocate,” “Moonlight Shadows,” and “Back Pocket.” All three will have you swaying along to the beat and singing your heart out, and it definitely wouldn’t be an EXO album without our ballads. “Flatline” and “I’m Home” are the perfect ballads to end the album. Both songs are beautiful, lighthearted, and a joy to listen to. They are a perfect way to wrap up this unforgettable album.
Check out EXO's new release, REVERXE, for a bold and fun welcome back from EXO.
