You Can Feel The “Adrenaline” With ATEEZ’s New Release GOLDEN HOUR: Part.4 - EP

It is always fun and intriguing to see a group take a concept and make so much out of it. It is a recurring theme for ATEEZ to take a concept and demonstrate their creativity, and their GOLDEN HOUR series is a prime example. They also do an excellent job of ensuring every part of the series has its own sound and personality. GOLDEN HOUR: Part. 1 - EP is a mini-album that is a ball of energy, with a heavy Latin and EDM influence. With a richer, more sensual essence, GOLDEN HOUR: Part. 2 - EP is a groovy mini-album that leans into a more R&B/hip-hop sound, and coming just in time for the summertime, GOLDEN HOUR: Part. 3 - EP and the GOLDEN HOUR: Part. 3 ‘In Your Fantasy Edition are upbeat albums in the pop genre that will have you on your feet, ready to dance. The moment that GOLDEN HOUR: Part. 4 - EP was announced, we all wondered what this release would sound like, and ATEEZ did not disappoint. With five songs in total, this EP is so much fun to listen to, and you can instantly feel the rush of adrenaline.

The EP starts with their track “Ghost.” With an eerie kind of vibe, “Ghost” is a track that will have you grooving along to the beat. One thing that stood out about this song was how prominent the member's vocals are. This track focuses on the member’s vocals. With its sensual sound, the track instantly captivates and draws you into the song. With this being the first song, you could only imagine what the rest of the EP is going to sound like, and you are taken for a loop. 

The next song is the title track “Adrenaline.” Like a boost of adrenaline, the title track is exciting, captivating, and a lot of fun to listen to. Focusing on that EDM genre, the beat grabs your attention as it starts. Once member/leader Hongjoong starts with his verse, his striking flow will have you moving along to the beat. Then members Seonghwa and Jongho have their turn at this awesome beat and put their own mix to it. Members San, Yeosang, and Yunho's deep vocal tones match the song's vibe. During that moment, there was a buildup in the pre-chorus, and once the beat drops, this electrifying EDM instrumental starts, and you are transported to a rave. You can picture it: a filled crowd, flashing lights/strobe lights, heavy bass, and everyone singing along to the lyrics. Once members Wooyoung and Mingi come in, the song is already at a high, and their different verses will excite you even more. 

The music video for the track is very eye-catching. The camera work and transitions among members are seamless, and there is always something happening in the background or right in front of you, that grabs your attention. There are moments that stand out so much in the already exciting video. For example, when Yeosang performed the high-energy choreography with the backup dancers during the chorus, or when Yunho engaged in a dance battle with the ATEEZ members. The video's high energy perfectly matches the song's vibe, keeping you hooked from the very beginning. “Adrenaline” is a fun song that will have you on your feet from beginning to end. 

The next song on the album is “NASA.” From the first listen, you are instantly hooked. “NASA” is a hip-hop heavy track with a strong EDM presence. ATEEZ knows how to craft a song that will have you ready to move your hips to the beat, and “NASA” is the prime example of that. This song became an instant favorite of mine, and you will find yourself listening to it repeatedly. The next song on the EP is our ballad of the night, titled “On The Road.” Showcasing that beautiful ATEEZ sound, “On The Road” is a lighthearted song that will lighten your spirits and empower you. In the song that boys talk about still treading through struggles. It’s a beautiful song that I can picture being sung by all ATINY’s during a concert. The EP's closing track is “Choose.” An upbeat pop song that was released before the EP dropped, and it will have you smiling while listening. With a cute message about how no matter what happens, they will always choose that one. It’s a beautiful song and a beautiful way to end the EP.
