As the weather heats up, YUNA gives us an EP to keep us cool. Released March 23, 2026, ITZY’s maknae is here to shine in her debut that’s sure to leave you wanting more.
TRACKLIST:
“Ice Cream” (title track)
“B-Boy”
“Blue Maze”
“Hyper Dream”
YUNA’s delicate voice perfectly accompanies the dreamy atmosphere of the music video. It’s slightly creepy with the frozen factory workers coming back to life and the images of YUNA emerging from a morgue-like freezer. Yet, the duality adds such a unique element to the yearnful pop song. The claymation effects add to the video’s overall playfulness. It’s refreshing and fun, a dazzling showcase of YUNA’s ability to shine on a solo track.
Each song brings a different flavor to the EP. It shifts from the soft pop of “Ice Cream” to the charmfully upbeat “B-Boy.” This garage track is bouncy and its danceability is sure to appeal to a lot of fans. The pulsating Jersey club beat addition doesn’t drown out YUNA’s clean vocals. It builds up to the catchy chorus with the lyrics “B-boy, you’re my B-boy, B-girl, I’m your B-girl” making it hard not to sing along.
“Blue Maze” expands upon the dreamy element that “Ice Cream” introduced to us. The beginning notes of windchimes and siren-like harmonies are melodic. This synth track is delicate and immerses you in an iridescent experience. It’s a well-produced delight that leads you further into YUNA’s fantastical world. The EP closes out with “Hyper Dream,” a funky tune that’s energetic from start to finish. It’s bubbly, bright, and the house elements aren’t overdone that allow the song to stand out on its own.
Ice Cream is a great reflection of YUNA’s individuality. It may seem minimalistic compared to ITZY’s usual aesthetic and in-your-face discography, but it proves just how versatile and talented she is.
