"We plan to solidify our global position as a leading K-Drama production company"
Studio Dragon, a premium storyteller group, is poised to continue the worldwide phenomenon of The Glory in the second half of the year by presenting a remarkable lineup of global masterpieces.
Regarding Netflix series, the captivating journey begins with Celebrity on June 30, followed by Song of the Bandits, Gyeongseong Creature, Sweet Home 2, and Doona!, and for Disney+ Originals, Shadow Detective is set to captivate audiences across the globe.
Celebrity portrays the glamorous yet competitive world of celebrities that Seo Ari (Park Gyuyoung) encounters upon entering the realm of fame and fortune. The recently unveiled teaser offers a glimpse into Seo Ari's transformation from an ordinary individual to a prominent celebrity, leaving viewers intrigued.
Song of the Bandits is an action-packed series set in the lawless land of Gando during the turbulent Japanese colonial era. It brings together a diverse group of individuals with their own unique stories, uniting them in their heart to protect the Korean homeland. The stellar cast includes Kim Namgil, Seohyun, Yoo Jaemyung, Lee Hyunwook, and Lee Hojung. Anticipation runs high for this enthralling narrative of Japanese soldiers, the independence army, hitmen, bandits, and displaced Koreans engaging in intense confrontations within Gando during the 1920s.
In Gyeongseong Creature, a creature thriller set in the bleak spring of 1945, a young man and woman fight for survival against monsters born from human greed. Park Seojoon portrays Jang Taesang – the head of merchant marketplace House of Golden Treasure – who is the wealthiest, most well-connected person in Gyeongseong. Han Sohee portrays Yun Chaeok – a famous bounty hunter who can track down missing people, even ones who are dead. Gyeongseong Creature promises to deliver an intense and chilling experience.
Sweet Home 2 continues the gripping narrative of Hyunsoo (Song Kang) and the survivors of Green Home as they face new challenges in an unfamiliar territory. The cast from Season 1, including Song Kang, Lee Jinuk, Lee Siyoung, Ko Minsi, and Park Gyuyoung returns, while newcomers Yoo Ohseong, Oh Jungse, Kim Mooyeol, and Jung Jinyoung join the ensemble, adding fresh dynamics to the story.
The romance series Doona! follows the journey of Wonjun, an ordinary college student, who encounters a retired K-Pop idol, who has left her glorious days behind, named Doona in a shared house. It is based on a popular webtoon of the same name that has gained immense popularity for its detailed portrayal of the emotions of romance with an idol housemate. Bae Suzy and Yang Sejong bring these characters to life, captivating audiences with their performances.
Recognized for its outstanding storyline in season one, Shadow Detective is slated to return for Season 2 on July 5, only on Disney+. Picking up more than a year after the events of season one, Shadow Detective 2 will follow veteran detective Taekrok (Lee Sungmin) as he works to track down the hidden mastermind behind the “Friend.” A teaser trailer for this exciting new season was recently released, with more to come in the following weeks.
TVING original series A Bloody Lucky Day is also set to premiere. It features a star-studded cast, including esteemed actors such as Lee Sungmin, Yoo Yeonseok, and Lee Jungeun. As Oh Taek (Lee Sungmin), an ordinary taxi driver, drives a customer (Yoo Yeonseok) that offers him a high price to go to the faraway provinces, he realizes that the customer is indeed a serial killer, and thus begins a long, horrifying drive. A Bloody Lucky Day has been selected as a Paramount+ partnership and will be released in approximately 27 countries around the world, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Germany, and France, where Paramount+ is available.
