wave to earth Embarks on the Eastern Leg of their North American Tour
If you haven't heard of wave to earth yet, start listening. The three-member Korean indie band under the Wavy label have been making waves as their tour heads east across North America. If you’re a bit closer to the Atlantic than the Pacific, it's not too late to catch them live. The tour initially started out with twelve stops, but as venues began to sell out, shows were added and moved to larger venues so more can experience them live.
The band is currently made up of three members, singer-songwriter Daniel Kim, drummer Dong Kyushin, and bassist John Cha. The trio debuted in 2019 with the single "wave,” followed by EPs wave 0.01 and summer flows 0.02. While they are a Korean indie band, much of their music is in English; those stateside will find it easier to connect with the sound as well as the lyrics. While there are three official members, the session band includes Jo Junggeun (keyboard), Jeonmin (saxophone) and Hong Seunggi, an artwork member.
The name wave to earth is said to reflect the band's desire to "become the new wave" and expand its own universe across the world. As they tour across North America, the journey of exploration has begun. With their smooth tracks, they’re the sound that you want to chill and vibe with. You’ll find out more about them as well as The Kraze’s favorite songs here. In the meantime, check your calendar and the schedule below, for the chance to see them live.
