Glen Check announces the monthly project “Thrifty” unveiling the first piece Thrifty Issue 01
South Korea’s band Glen Check is unveiling a new single Thrifty Issue 01.
Thrifty is a monthly release project by Glen Check that introduces songs that were not included in the EP/FL album. The first series of the project Thrifty Issue 01 includes two tracks,“Psychoboy Jack” and “Bloodbath Club Scene,” which are techno tracks with a different form than the bright and refreshing tracks that Glen Check has previously released.
From tracks that were unfortunately omitted during the album planning stage to diverse genre-spanning music that transcends the band's boundaries, Glen Check will present an expanded musical world to their listeners through the Thrifty project.
Regarding this project, Glen Check stated, "Just like the meaning behind the word ‘thrifty,’ we plan to release tracks that almost never saw the light of day in a free form, without being bound by specific concepts or cohesion."
Since their debut in 2011, Glen Check has released three full-length albums in total, and through the albums HAUTE COUTURE and YOUTH!, they received the “Best Dance & Electronic Album Awar” at the Korean Music Awards for two consecutive years, recognizing their music.
Along with the release of Thrifty Issue 01, Glen Check had a showcase in the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany on September 21.
