H Music Entertainment is proud to introduce the next wave of K-Pop talent with the official debut of HITGS, a five-member girl group whose name stands for Hip, Innocent, Teenager, Girls, and Story. With the release of The 1st Single [Things we love : H], HITGS invites listeners into their world—one filled with fresh energy, vibrant charm, and heartfelt storytelling.
This debut release, consisting of two songs and a music video, marks the beginning of HITGS’s journey as artists and storytellers. HITGS’s debut is produced by Ryan Jhun, one of K-Pop’s most renowned producers, whose previous works include hits for SHINee, Super Junior, f(x), Taeyeon, EXO, NCT, IU, TWICE, MONSTA X, and IVE. With his expertise in crafting global chart-toppers, HITGS is poised to make an explosive entrance onto the scene.
The lead track, “SOURPATCH,” sets the tone with a groovy rhythm anchored by 808 bass, bouncy drum beats, and a melody that lingers in the mind. The lyrics, written in a conversational tone, reflect the unexpected arrival of love and capture the emotional nuances of teenage life. Accompanied by a visually stunning music video, the track showcases HITGS’s distinct teenage girl charm and introduces their unique identity through both sound and performance. The second track, “Never Be Me,” brings a brighter, more confident energy. A dance-pop song with a trendy sound, it features groovy basslines, simple beats, and an addictive chorus. The result is a bold, feel-good anthem that radiates youthful power and showcases the group’s vocal and performance range. Together, these two tracks paint a vivid picture of HITGS’s artistry: fresh, fearless, and unmistakably unique.
At the core of HITGS’s concept is a simple yet powerful message: to celebrate everything we love, whether grand and extraordinary or small and seemingly insignificant. “We want to keep talking about all those big and small things that make every day special,” the members shared. “We hope that everyone, including us, will talk more often about the little things we love—the things that sparkle in our lives. And someday, if HITGS becomes one of those small things you love, that would mean the world to us.”
The group consists of five members: SEOJIN, a charismatic dancer and rapper; SEOHEE, the group’s powerhouse main vocalist; HYERIN, the radiant center and visual; IYOO, the main dancer, rapper, and spirited maknae; and VV, who rounds out the group with her visual appeal and vocal sweetness. As HITGS continues to grow—both as a group and as individuals—they aim to build a collection of stories that reflect who they are and who they’re becoming. “The more those stories build up,” they shared, “the more you’ll get to see what makes us truly unique. We hope you’ll stick with us and discover all the different sides of our charm.”
MORE INFO:
HITGS is backed by an exceptional team of industry professionals. Co-CEO Kanghyo Kim, known for his 17-year tenure at Starship Entertainment—where he played a pivotal role in the careers of SISTAR, BOYFRIEND, WJSN, MONSTA X, CRAVITY, and IVE—has meticulously curated the group’s development and debut strategy. Co-CEO Hyungsik Jang spearheaded Vietnam's music copyright market and, through the acquisition of Yin Yang Media and Vietnam's No. 2 music streaming platform, turned it into a leading music distributor with a 30% market share. Additionally, he invested in JYP China and the JYP-Tencent Music joint venture during his tenure at SV Investment, a Series A investor of HYBE.
Each member brings their own unique personality to the group. VV previously worked as an actress and model in China, attending an arts high school where she ranked first in her class in the acting entrance exam. SEOJIN, born in Seoul and raised in Busan, trained while preparing to debut with KISS OF LIFE. Despite her roots in Busan, she speaks without a dialect, and her lively personality mirrors her birth dream of a seal. IYOO, though a Korean national, is of Zainichi Korean heritage. She was cast as a trainee at High Up Entertainment after performing as a backup dancer for STAYC at the KCON JAPAN stage. SEOHEE was once a promising rhythmic gymnast in her childhood and now channels that dedication into her vocal training, looking up to IU as her role model. HYERIN holds a certification in nail art and was frequently approached through street casting as a child—hints of her natural star quality even from a young age.
Even before their official debut, HITGS gained industry recognition, securing major partnerships and investments. SBS, one of South Korea’s leading television and radio broadcasters, made an unprecedented move by investing in HITGS’s production costs ahead of their debut. This collaboration has resulted in a pre-debut documentary series and exclusive web variety shows, ensuring the group’s strong presence in the media landscape. HITGS has also formed a strategic partnership with Jam Republic The Agency, known for their choreography production and collaborations with BTS, BLACKPINK, aespa, and (G)I-DLE. They are engaging in various collaborations, ranging from choreography lessons to performances at major events like the K-Pop Music Festival.
