Celebrating a decade of unparalleled energy and connection with fans around the globe, MONSTA X officially kicks off their tenth anniversary year with the release of NOW PROJECT vol.1—a bold declaration of who they are today. Their return to KCON LA this August marks another major milestone: a full-group reunion on the KCON LA stage for the first time since 2016. For the past few years, the members of MONSTA X have been completing their mandatory military service, creating periods of individual activity and silence as a group of six. Today, that silence is broken. MONSTA X: A moment to sing once again—complete, and with purpose.
The NOW PROJECT vol.1 isn’t a greatest hits collection or a retrospective archive. It’s a living, breathing testament to MONSTA X in the present tense. The word “NOW” speaks volumes, it represents the current moment. When reversed, it forms “MON”—a powerful nod to their name and identity. This layered meaning underscores a deeper truth: MONSTA X is not just back, they are redefining themselves in real time. For the first time, ten standout title tracks and B-sides released between 2021 and 2023 have been re-recorded with all six members, restoring the group’s full sonic identity.
During the original release period, some members were absent due to enlistment. NOW, every note echoes the complete MONSTA X, united and in sync. The tracklist spans powerful anthems like “Rush Hour,” “LOVE,” and “Beautiful Liar,” as well as intimate, emotionally driven songs such as “IT’S ALRIGHT,” “DENY,” and “LOVE FOREVER.” Each song reflects MONSTA X during a specific era—while still delivering emotions and messages that feel deeply relevant today. This isn’t about repeating the past, it’s about continuing the story in real time.
This project is more than music. It’s a record and a restoration, a reflection and a declaration. A reminder that MONSTA X’s story isn’t over—it’s entering a new, electrifying chapter. MONSTA X’s time has begun to flow once again, and NOW PROJECT vol.1 is only the beginning.
