HYO of legendary K-Pop group Girls’ Generation arrives at the peak of summer with new house banger “YES,” out now via SM Entertainment. Listen HERE.
A sped-up house track, “YES” is driven by a two-step rhythm, rhythmic bass, and bold topline – blending classic hypnotic house elements with HYO’s signature pop edge. Watch the music video HERE.
“YES” marks HYO’s first release since last year’s pop-funk English single “Retro Romance.” Making her debut as a DJ in 2018, HYO has continued to build a distinct musical identity with tracks like “DESSERT,” “DEEP,” and “Picture,” alongside taking her DJ sets on the road. The soloist kicked off her 2025 SUMMER USA TOUR last week, building on the momentum of last summer’s DJ HYO USA SUMMER TOUR 2024 – each helping solidify her role as a staple of summer stages and playlists alike.
HYO first debuted in 2007 as HYOYEON in Girls’ Generation, one of the most influential groups in K-Pop history. With chart-topping singles like “Gee,” “Genie,” “I Got a Boy,” and “Into the New World,” they became a cultural phenomenon and went on to hit over 100 million digital and physical record sales, earning the achievement of one of the most successful girl groups in history. Even as members pursue celebrated careers in music, acting, and fashion, the group’s trailblazer legacy, which helped lay the groundwork for the global K-Pop wave, remains a vital part of Korea’s music history.
