Korean band Catch The Young delivered a dynamic performance at the 2025 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival, igniting the stage with youthful energy and earning thunderous sing-alongs from the crowd. Marking their second consecutive appearance at Korea’s premier rock festival, the group once again proved their status as a rising performance-driven band with a powerful live presence.
From August 1 to 3, the festival was held at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park in Incheon, South Korea. Catch The Young took the stage on the first day, opening their set with their latest single “Ideal Type,” blending retro-inspired rock riffs with playful synthesizer lines. The band immediately drew the crowd into a wave of applause and sing-alongs, setting the tone for the rest of the show. Tracks like “My Own Way” and “Talking To Myself” highlighted the band’s emotional range and sonic versatility, while “Dream It” and “The Legend” showcased their storytelling-driven sound and tight musical cohesion. Their honest take on the uncertainty and passion of youth resonated beyond just performance, creating a shared experience between the band and the audience. The group’s cover of Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” brought the energy to a peak, with Catch The Young infusing the iconic song with their own playful flair. They closed with their debut track “YOUTH!!!,” met with roaring chants and a sea of voices from the crowd—an unforgettable finale that captured the spirit of their journey so far.
Performing without grand staging or choreography, Catch The Young lets the music and message speak for themselves. Their ability to captivate an audience with raw, heartfelt energy cemented their identity as a band dedicated to live performances. Their growing stage presence was especially evident when compared to past experiences, like their recent street performance in Sinchon, where even a sudden sound outage couldn't stop fans from singing along. That same confidence and connection carried over to this year's Incheon Pentaport stage, revealing just how much the band has grown.
Following their standout set at the 2025 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival, Catch The Young will continue performing across major stages, including the Jeonju Ultimate Music Festival (JUMF) this month and the Sound Planet Festival in September. As they move between campus festivals, solo concerts, and busking, the band continues to expand their identity as a band of youth that’s not only emotional and sincere but also full of life.
