Legendary Korean rock band YB, anchored by frontman Yoon Dohyun, marks an extraordinary milestone with the release of their 30th anniversary album, YB Mastered 3.1 LIVE. The project serves as both a retrospective and a celebration, capturing the band’s enduring legacy through a curated collection of their most iconic songs—performed live during their anniversary tour—alongside a brand-new track, “Thirty Winds.” A heartfelt gift to their longtime fans, “Thirty Winds” reflects the band’s three-decade journey, channeling the spirit, resilience, and passion that have defined YB’s career. The album’s live recordings bring renewed energy to fan-favorite tracks, highlighting the group’s reputation as one of Korea’s most powerful and sought-after live acts.
Widely recognized as Korea’s biggest rock band, YB has released 10 full-length studio albums and more than 70 additional projects, including OST soundtracks and live recordings. Over the years, they have built a global following, touring 44 cities worldwide across the UK, Germany, Italy, the United States, Canada, and Japan. In 2025, YB commemorated their 30th anniversary with an extensive domestic tour, performing in 19 cities across Korea over five months and drawing more than 70,000 fans. Their legacy as a live powerhouse continues to resonate, fueled by decades of electrifying performances.
YB’s influence extends beyond the rock genre. In 2021, they participated in Metallica’s Blacklist album with a remake of “Sad But True,” and they continue to collaborate with leading K-Pop acts including Xdinary Heroes, NCT, Stray Kids, and LE SSERAFIM. Their genre-crossing appeal underscores their versatility and relevance in today’s global music landscape.
The band has also made history on major international stages, becoming the first Korean band to perform at the iconic Vans Warped Tour in 2009. Their festival appearances span the globe, including SXSW in Austin, Loud Bridge Festival in Tokyo, Rolling Stone “The Rock Factory” in Japan, Pol’and’Rock Festival in Poland, and the Golden Disk Awards in Jakarta. Additionally, YB’s 2017 single “Dreamer” was featured on the soundtrack of the critically acclaimed documentary Landfill Harmonic and introduced to U.S. audiences via Radio City, further expanding their reach beyond Korea.
With YB Mastered 3.1 LIVE, YB not only honors their past but also looks ahead; continuing to evolve while staying true to the sound and spirit that have made them a cornerstone of Korean rock for three decades.
