Red Velvet Falls in Love with a “Really Bad Boy”

Red Velvet has finally come back with their newest album! Their new album RBB seems like a continuation from their previous title track, “Bad Boy.” Red Velvet never fails to disappoint with their visuals and sharp dance moves. Their title track, “RBB (Really Bad Boy)” is an R&B pop track with distinct brass sounds that keep fans listening. The song expresses the emotions of falling in love with a really bad boy. There also are screams occurring throughout the track to show the fear and danger of falling in love with a bad boy.

In the music video, each member is seen dancing in a mysterious, dark-themed scenes. Their outfits also seem to portray a fierce image to match the bad boy. The theme of the music video matches the season of Halloween with werewolves and cemeteries. Each member is seen with a werewolf portraying that a bad boy is dangerous just like a werewolf. Joy was even seen getting bitten by a werewolf, which shows that a bad boy can even “bite you” if you aren’t careful.

“Butterflies” is a cheery pop track that perfectly connects the title song to the rest of the album. Each member’s vocals are portrayed so beautifully in this track, ensuring that fans fall in love with their voices. “So Good” changes the mood of the track with a sexy, R&B track that starts of with Joy’s beautiful vocals to hook fans in instantly. The members perfectly harmonize through the entire track with Irene and Seulgi sharing a couple lines in the track to complete it.

“멋있게 (Sassy Me)” has a sexy, jazz melody that will get you instantly dancing once you start the song. The members seem to have fun singing to the track with the playful lyrics that perfectly match the title of the song. “Taste” begins with a cute but seductive introduction with Wendy saying a couple of lines in English. The song is about starting a relationship that was different from their previous ones and wanting more from them. The album ends with the English version of their title track, “Really Bad Boy.”
