Throwback Thursday: Best of B.A.P
For the past few weeks The Kraze has been throwing it back to some of the best releases by particular artists and groups. This week is all about B.A.P! For newer K-Pop fans, B.A.P (Best Absolute Perfect) debuted in 2012 under TS Entertainment and is known for producing intense, often dark, meaningful songs. Here are some of B.A.P’s best tracks!
“Warrior”
This isn’t the first time “Warrior” has appeared on this segment, but we simply cannot forget how B.A.P was first introduced to the K-Pop industry. The group had a strong, intense debut with this notable title track off their first self-titled album. From the get-go B.A.P made a warrior-like entrance, and they definitely made their mark as a group to pay close attention to in the future.
“Hurricane”
Flying all the way out to Las Vegas, B.A.P parties it up with this fun, upbeat track. The gentlemen take over the streets of Sin City, exuding luxurious, carefree vibes as seen in the music video. “Hurricane” is a refreshing twist on their usual dark concepts. With this song, the boys show off a more energetic side to them that’s only really seen through live performances and concerts.
“Feel So Good”
“Feel So Good” is another fun, upbeat song on the group’s discography. Coming off of their Carnival album, B.A.P definitely brings cheer with this track. Whether it’s the overall fun, party vibe or the vibrant colors throughout the music video, you can’t help but smile at this particular release. Not to mention this is only one of few songs where you can actually see the group goofing off through the entirety of the music video. It’s yet another reminder that this group has a lot in store in terms of cheerful, happy concepts.
“Young, Wild & Free”
Closing out this week’s segment is “Young, Wild & Free.” Long-time fans of this group have a deep connection with this particular song as it marked the group’s first comeback following their long legal battle with TS Entertainment due to contractual discord. During this period, many fans (such as myself) worried about the fate of B.A.P, with many wondering if the group was even going to come back at all. Much to fans’ relief, B.A.P made their return with this intense, meaningful title track. This was an extremely solid return, and it reminded the K-Pop industry of who B.A.P is and the fact that they are here to stay.
