Wanna One Returns With New EP!

One of the hottest K-Pop boy groups, Wanna One, is back with a new EP for fans! Wanna One has surely been on a roll with their releases, with their latest EP 1÷x=1 (UNDIVIDED) marking their fourth release since their debut. Wanna One gives fans five new tracks, all of which make the album worthy of a listen.

Wanna One Shines With “켜줘 (Light)”

Wanna One’s title track from the album, “켜줘 (Light)” is perfect for this summer, as it is an EDM-influenced track. Like all their previous hit songs, “켜줘 (Light)” will get you up on your feet and dancing to the catchy beat. It comes as no surprise that once again, Wanna One has managed to top their previous release and come out with such a great song.

When watching the music video for  “켜줘 (Light),” it will instantaneously draw you in with the members looking deep into the camera, which gives it the illusion as if they are directly staring at you. Wanna One also delivers clean and sharp choreography, that will leave you in awe at how synchronized this group is. Within their short period as a group, you can definitely see the chemistry between the members and how well they work together. The music video for “켜줘 (Light)” features the Wanna One in simple yet very artistic sets, with emphasis on different lighting being shown on the members.

Special Collaborations

What makes this particular Wanna One release special compared to their other releases is that the other tracks were produced by their industry seniors. These are also particularly big names within the music industry as well. These special collaborations featured the producing artists, which is a refreshing change up as we do not usually get an album that mainly focuses on the collaborations and features.

Their next track off the EP after “켜줘 (Light),” “Kangaroo”, is produced by Block B’s ZICO who also makes a feature on the song. If you are looking a song that is a fun, feel-good party song, “Kangaroo” is the track to get hyped to. “Forever And A Day,” which is produced by NELL, is a slow acoustic ballad that still fits into the summer-sound that this particular album focuses on. Without realizing it, you’ll find yourself swaying to “Forever And A Day” and feeling that butterflies-in-stomach feeling from this love song.

“Sandglass” is the next track on the album, which is produced by HEIZE. You can definitely hear the signature jazz/R&B/Hip-Hop sound that HEIZE is known for within the song. She is featured in the song as well. However, Wanna One spices it up with their own flavor and unique vocals and rap, which smoothly blend into the song. Closing out the album, their last track is produced by Dynamic Duo which is titled “11.” With Dynamic Duo, fans can expect a hip-hop/R&B track that will have you grooving along. Paired with Wanna One, this makes another solid collaboration.

It comes as no surprise that Wanna One has another solid album in their discography. If you still haven’t gotten the chance to listen to 1÷x=1 (UNDIVIDED) by Wanna One, you are definitely missing out.
