Kang Xiwon Opens Her Solo Career with a Bang, or Rather a Couple of Clicks

Loyalty is a trait that can be a curse for all K-Pop fans—not because we are unwilling to notice the talent of others, but oftentimes because the immense amount of time that we devote to our biases. But here at this corner of The Kraze, you have decided to make the commitment to learn about others, and that is exactly what we are doing this week. Hang onto your britches because we are about to take a look at the latest solo rookie: Kang Xiwon.

Origins: The Artist

Kang Xiwon is a woman who should ring the bell with many as she was involved in the first season of the famous Korean reality show Produce 101. She originally was an independent contestant, and ended up being eliminated as number thirty-six, however, she was recruited by Dream T Entertainment shortly after her participation in the show as a trainee. Shortly after she signed with We Can Do It Entertainment, and was in the lineup for the company’s newest four member girl group UNI, which was set to debut in 2018; unfortunately the group disbanded before debut.
