The Boyz Experience Magic in “D.D.D”

The Boyz are back this summer to delve us into the world of magic.

After a colorful “Bloom Bloom” for this summer, the act is back to dance and party with their new single “D.D.D.” The flower boys of the era makes sure to cherish their beloved DeoBs with high spirits as they “Dance, Dance, Dance” for the right moment. The fourth mini-album Dream Like, released on August 20, makes sure to refresh the fans with “Water,” “Daydream,” as we are “Going high” for the “Summer Time,” making us “Complete Me.”

The Single

The upbeat single surprisingly begins with pretty keyboard notes and a breathy starter of Kevin’s “Oh yeah.” The mellow track continues to be a melody for a while as Hyunjae and Younghoon mellow about the new feeling of being in love. With a party beat accompanying in the behind, the members reveal us a bright spirited song. As the chorus sings “to the world where it’s unrealistic and everything will come true,” the listeners get to be merry trying to repeat the hook of the chorus, “DANCE DANCE DANCE” during intervals. The lighter notion is a well-known concept around the dozen, which is yet again carried by the act for their new release. There are times where the single sounds more routine, when Sangyeon and Kevin appear for a melody, but thanks to the little niches dropped here and there by Jacob, Sunwoo, Eric, Juyeon and Haknyeon, kept the track in pace. Regardless of the regularity of the genre, the track still credits by claiming the twelve as cheer influencers.

The Music Video

The Boyz do not just own brighter tunes, but can cherish every viewer with choosy colors and magic. Shot in the streets of New York, the members grace the site with casual street-boy clothing, playing and having their own fun. The music video later opens up to a mythical world inspired by the Alice in Wonderland series, as the white rabbit goes around indicating the members to get together to live the magic. The theory further includes many references to the series like magical rope, pixie dust, a tea party, shrinking pizza and the iconic pocket watch of the Mr. White Rabbit. As the boys enter another dimension, the atmosphere is filled with fun, games, laughter, and harmony. The pace of the beat hype us even more, when the dozen assemble to perform a solid choreography including an inevitable dance break, showcasing their flair and experience in performances. The music video bids farewell as the members enjoy themselves in a posh tea party, munching pastries and playing cards. The beauty of Brooklyn Bridge is also depicted when pretty fireworks fill the sky, refreshing our mood for the day.

Another summer single of the group is here and we are sure loving it.
