EVERGLOW Says “Adios” in Latest Comeback

Debuting earlier in March of this year, rookie girl group EVERGLOW has made its first comeback with lead track “Adios.” This particular song comes straight off their single titled HUSH. EVERGLOW returns with a charismatic ferocity that spills into the song and music video. 

Taking a deeper dive into the song itself, “Adios” is another hard-hitting song that will automatically get listeners hooked. It starts off with a slower tempo that gradually builds up to be a powerful EDM-heavy chorus that will make people move. “Adios” is very reminiscent of their debut song, “Bon Bon Chocolat,” except this time, it’s more focused on the girl-crush/femme fatale concept. One particular part that is sure to invoke instant goosebumps is when the line “Good bye, au revoir, adios” is chanted till a soft whisper then blasting into the chorus. 

The music video delivers stunning visuals from the CGI effects and the fashion pieces to the multiple sets that are used as backdrops. As “Adios” is a powerful and charismatic song, the group’s fashion matches with the ladies donning either white military-type uniforms or black leather outfits that are tailored to each member. But the true gem of the music video is the showcasing of choreography from EVERGLOW as they own each set that they are featured in. While most music videos do give a good balance between member visuals to choreography, Yuehua Entertainment does a great job of showcasing more of their dancing abilities. 

Aside from “Adios” there are two other songs, titled “Hush” and “You Don’t Know Me” respectively, off the single. Both songs are a departure from the darker, powerful song “Adios,” giving listeners a variety of sounds to listen to. With just a week since its release, EVERGLOW’s “Adios” music video has garnered over 39 million views. EVERGLOW definitely impresses with their latest release and they are a must-watch girl group to look out for in the coming years of their career. EVERGLOW shows promise and potential and it will be exciting to see what these ladies bring next.
