Fall in Love with “BUNGEE!”
Almost three months have passed since the release of The Fifth Season, but Oh My Girl is already back with another mesmerizing album to add to their discography! From the peaceful tunes of their last title track to the enchanting vibes found in “Remember Me,” this seven-member group is once again showing that they can pull off any concept with the release of “BUNGEE.”
Just in case you didn’t have time to catch up with The Fifth Season and the eight tracks accompanying it, Oh My Girl definitely has you covered! Their newest album titled Fall In Love is a repackage of their previous studio album, with two additional summer bops to check out. Even without “BUNGEE” and the additional B-side “Tropical Love,” the album contains a rainbow of concepts to check out, from the beat-heavy bop “Vogue” to the track “Crime Scene” that promises to “chill your love,” so there’s something for every day of the second season.

The music video definitely showcases just how summery the members of Oh My Girl are willing to get, as it has everything that could be asked for. Not only does it feature several unique sets that all manage to display the group’s three official colors while remaining cohesive to the flow of the song, but the members’ outfits range from pastel skirts and tank tops varying in patterns all the way to sailor-inspired outfits and basic yet flawless indoor clothing. Just as the album is a rainbow of concepts, bold and bright hues of blues and reds are just as common as pastel pinks and yellows within this color-diverse and fully saturated video. One of our favorite features, however, are the changes in resolution of the main scene, some of which are backed up by more blue and pink pastel goodness, as it helps to make the video come alive. Another recent example of this would be in Chungha’s “Snapping,” which does almost the same thing for one of its shots, yet it creates a very different effect.
As for the song itself, “BUNGEE” is about as vivid and upbeat as the video, which shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the concept changes that Oh My Girl has been through within the past year. With that being said, this song feels a lot like a typical bubblegum pop track with the added flavor that only the versatile voices of this group can provide. Summer is the season of love, sparkle, and joy—this group encapsulates that with every comeback, but “BUNGEE” really hones in on the beach vacation vibes that can bring smiles to people worldwide.
